Well, it's been over a decade and I still always come back to it! Really scratches that zombie strategy itch in a way that other games never seem to. The first game was fantastic, too! They really perfected what they were going for with this one. I love the style with the maps and journal, everything feels so tactile!! That kind of style is rare these days. For a game that seems quite simple on the surface, the various game modes are genuinely challenging to beat and the characters you play as are diverse and dynamic. There is truly nothing else like this game. Other strategy games leave me craving this one. It's also very palatable and easy to pick up and play anywhere as there isn't really much gore, but it isn't boring at all and is still surprisingly immersive. Super unique for a zombie game. If you love zombies and turn-based strategy, this game is a must play. One of a kind!!!
muy bueno y desafiante, es realmente difícil llegar a conocer completamente el juego ya que siempre cambia con cada partida
If you have played the original Zafehouse diaries, then you need not buy this sequel. I have 100% achievements and 95+ hours on the original and can safely say that is where i'll be playing. Zafehouse 2 takes what is a streamlined and clear text based game and complicates it with flashy and updated graphics. It has no soul. I'd like to play it through as I did the first game, but I just find the UI to be so confusing and janky, it is not clear or fun to play. TL;DR: It's the same as the first with flash graphics, save your money.
For the life of me I do not understand WHY people would like this game. It is boring. This game is about tediously managing resources...and instead of zombies, it could be how to be a shift-manager at a local fast-food franchise. In fact, that would be more transparent if not more interesting and would involve the SAME gameplay. Fail.
Really like the Zafehouse Diaries games. The only thing I have a problem with about them is the RNG (random number generator) and unclear gameplay. Something is going on behind the scenes but it's not clear what the calculations are. Planning attacks feels random. Your survivors miss a lot at snipe and then you try to breach and your team gets wrecked anyway. Then along comes some random mob and wrecks you. It means to beat a mission takes like 100 tries, so it gives replay value that way. Been playing the hard chopper mission a bunch and only get through a few houses before the chopper arrives and we miss it, but my survivors are either too busy randomly missing snipes and dying or sleeping (lol). I like the idea of the game, and there's a lot going for it, but some of the mechanics feel a bit ****ed. It has that XCOM RNG frustration except with less strategical options in the combat. In a way, it is like a budget XCOM in a zombie apocalypse because you suit and boot a squad and then try to work through the town, except there is only a very limited and even more unpredictable tactical layer. Still fun to just pick up from time to time if you don't want to get too deeply immersed in a game, arcade style.
ZHD1 Is a 5/5 Game. ZHD2 is a 11/10 Game!!! IT IS ONE BETTER :) Just buy this already, whenever it goes on sale. If you are a strategy title collector YOU owe it to yourself. Skip the first one as this is all you need IMO! Tho I do own both! Honestly, so super happy I own this, DRM FREE sweetness is the CHERRY on the CAKE for ease of use...
Great game that can create dynamic stories. Features a lot of customization which is awesome! UI can be a bit clunky when assigning missions and tasks. There could be a few ways to make it better for sure. I still highly recommend this game for anyone who loves turn based, stories, customization, or strategy management games!
good good yes yes
Survival is mostly realistic and the diary tells all the details you need to know. Planning is critical to your survival like checking how many zombies are at a location, who you bring and what you bring. Game rewards for those who play carefully ONE IMPORTANT THING I would have to say is PLAN and put notes on the map for if you want to breach a place in the future or to avoid it AND PLAN THOSE BREACHES Fun game overall, but some of the survivors demands to others are quite stupid like killing more zombies in a breach is just suicidal act to do and the thought of demanding it as a general task is just completely stupid. Especially when the survivor you just recruited, demands the other survivor to do what I said above like a complete ♥♥♥♥♥ Rant END
Defo a improvement from the first game, I've spent a lot of time playing it as it is a very easy game to just play. time waster some would call it, but if it keeps dragging my back, it is a good time waster. just wish I could kill the super zombie first go lmao.
