A storm destroys a town and you go around fixing up the place. That's it and there's not much else I can say about it. It has a fine price to game ratio but if I'm being honest, the game just feels lackluster. It's nice, pleasant, and charming, but there's just not enough that I can work with to make it stand out with any interest. Sure the game is cosy but aside from the town, the world is pretty much barren outside of open nature which I do respect. All you're really doing is going around to collect materials to fix up a town; simple sure, but nothing else. The game has its merits but needed more to make it decent in my book.
A cute but short platformer, but I can’t bring myself to recommend it due to the game feeling very hollow, even for the low price. You go through the game collecting items to complete fetch quests, and that’s about all the game has to offer. No real story development to talk about and the controls in my experience were quite buggy. There may also be problems with some of the achievements unlocking. The final achievement (complete the main story) for example the game glitched/froze right after talking to the mayor and entering the final dialogue sequence. Exiting from the in game menu and reloading in this case locks you out of seeing the credits, but maybe force closing the game may circumvent this? Not a bad game and had a nice concept, but needs some polish.
I won this game through SteamGifts. Re:Fresh was a cute little surprise. It's a short platformer with fun movement, simple mechanics, and a cast of really adorable characters. The writing has a lot of charm, and it's one of those games you can jump into without having to go through a long tutorial. I also liked that there are optional speed challenges if you want a little extra difficulty during your playthrough. They're a nice addition for anyone who enjoys getting some extra outfit goodies. That said, the game is very short, and I did run into a few bugs during my playthrough. There are also some extra resources that didn't really seem to have much of a purpose, which made them feel a bit unnecessary. Overall, it's a fun little indie platformer that doesn't overstay its welcome. I just wish there had been a bit more of it.
insgesamt sehr gut. ich empfehle es. der preis des spiel ist im angebot für -70% auch sehr gut.
So I have extra resources for a reason or nah? What about all that empty space? Could do with a compass or something for when the super unhelpful mayor just says he won't talk to you 'til everyone else is taken care of, but with no guides or hints or anything. Feels quite a bit like I was just zooming around abit 'til I found something to interact with. Some might call this unfinished ... I don't think I'd argue with them. It is cute for what it is though, I guess.
RE:FRESH, is how a starter dream project should be done. This is a charming little platformer that doesn't try to do anything crazy. It features simple 3D platforming that has both easy challenges to tougher time trials if you feel like doing those. Furthermore, the dialogue is quite appropriate for such a silly game. There were a couple bugs I encountered like clipping into terrain and being stuck but those didn't really become so frustrating that it took away from the experience. The pricing is a bit steep but if you go into this with the right perspective (and from a sale), then this is a great way to spend a night. PROS: - Snappy platforming - Cute writing - Optional challenges - Easy to pick up and understand CONS: - A bit buggy - Unfairly priced - Very short Those hoop challenges are damn difficult for a cozy game.
Short Hollow Meh
Unrefined, floaty and slidy. The base game is overall easy to get through but the general platforming feels god awful and that made every time trial feel abysmal. The design was also rather shallow character and building wise with characters that looked like they were ripped out of MySims. It's wholesome, sweet and thankfully short but I can hardly recommend this game.
