Good.
Great game to learn Japanese characters, i tried learning on Duolingo for months but could never get it, until the other day i started you can kana, and was able to learn all of hiragana in less than 2 days. im still to start katakana yet. but I'm letting hiragana set in 1st. (i wish there were ways to mix and match the palette's and not just be stuck with one or the other)
Good up to a point. For example, it forces you to *always* do specific types of typing for Hiragana or Katakana characters. For example, say you want to do something like ッド You could normally do that with "xtsu" and "do" but instead the only way it'll let you move on to do other parts is if you enter "ddo". Both are valid but it gets annoying trying to force you to use one specific method only where it'll block you from doing anything else until you've done it that specific way. Also, tracing the kana with the mouse cursor gets annoying. Especially when you have to repeat it multiple times.
I highly recommend this game as a learning tool. I used it to reinforce the kana along with videos. I watch the videos to initially learn the individual letter groups and then go over here. Really helped fast track memorizing the letters.
Very good to learn how to read Hiragana and Katakana
A great way to make learning characters easy and enjoyable by doing a little bit each day. Worth every bit for the earnest student.
Great for memorizing and practicing recalling and typing kana. There are better options for learning the kana initially but this isn't a terrible all in one method to memorize the kana and how to read, recognize, and type them. I had initially used duolingo to learn most of hiragana but this helps solidify it and I really like reading and typing them.
very helpful in memorizing and not burning out
This game helped me to learn all Hiragana, dakuten, and yoon in 2 days. The way that it forces you to learn all of the modifiers in a linear path is difficult at first, but perfect when you pair it with other resources for context. It is simply the best resource for learning kana that I have found, hands down. I love it!
