In Yosemite Forest Ranger you will fill the shoes of Theodore Thompson. You will find out why he left the big city life to be a Forest Ranger through Story Rich Gameplay and Voice Acting. With a Survival aspect as well. A very Rich Open World with loads of Forageables and Wildlife to Explore.

Fun and relaxing game, in the Early access. A very enjoyable game. I like how is story progress and return me in my time where we have cassettes and VHS. Regarding some bugs have, but it is Early access and it is normal. Regarding bug what I was have in game is mostly about inventory where you want to put some food or wood or things in slot what I want it is wanky but it is not major so much. Other was sometimes when you want to cook and you pick up recipe and start to cook, the object like mushroom don't want to transfer from inventory to oven.. Overall game is really enjoyable.. Thank you Dev for return in year when I was born :D
It's a nice, chill game with exploring, survival / rpg aspects to both foraging, farming to some degree and chill while looking for hidden stuff and collectibles while enjoying really nice voice lines in Yosemity Forest. And sure it's at a quite early access stage as many know but I believe the developer has been working hard on it to iron out the issues as they show up and it is a nice game that shows a lot of potential. =)
A calm survival game i think i would say. Some bugs you can live with. In general a good relaxing game i think. It maby could be more to it tho.
Jogo não funciona. Sequer inicia jogo novo.
Good start in what might be a good survival game
This is a really cool foundation for the game. There's a lot of love and care put into it by the dev and you can see and feel that everywhere. Sure its still a little rough around the edges, but it is an early access title and its far more developed than many of its kin. The developer recently posted about potentially doing a massive overhaul and I really hope this process allows the game to shine like it deserves too. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it bud :) Keep up the great work!
I think this game needs some refocusing. If the true hook is to explore Yosemite and uncover a story, why are there survival mechanics thrown in? Feels like it is trying to be two very different things at once. Also, the non-existent tutorial made it very hard to know what to do next, and when I did find something, the interact system made it pretty difficult to enjoy. I have lots of respect for volunteer devs doing work purely for passion, but this needs some changes.
I've edited my review after further development: I respect and admire the vision but this project probably shouldn't exist. If you're starting from square one to make a video game and you don't know how to make a video game, it's best to start small. This could have just been "American Park Ranger" in a smaller fictional setting and it would have been a more realistic project. I really want this game to be good but it simply isn't. Essentially everything is janky. When I first bought this game, it didn't function at all. Now, with some great optimization fixes the game functions and I can experience bushes rendering at roughly fifty feet distance, broken physics, no walk animation, no instruction or goals, arbitrary invisible boundaries that don't make sense, and more. I honestly can't list everything wrong with the game or I'd be here all day. I won't even begin with more nuanced inaccuracies with the setting. This should not have been released for early access without a lot more functional development. I see a list of updates offering additional content and I think such things were probably a waste of time when the basic fundamental building blocks of the game aren't working. I hate giving negative reviews and I want this vision to succeed but I have to say this is a title to avoid unless you just want to contribute a few bucks to a novice developer. If you can see it as a donation, then go ahead.
