Reviews
As a fan on the OG PS2 Game I can say this is a respectful remake of the original and keeps the feeling of the story fully intact while also improving upon it also adding the great gameplay improvements seen in Yakuza 0.
Весьма интересная история про криминал с японским колоритом и безумным Мадзимой, что ходит по пятам.

Like a good TV series, you can't wait to find out what happens next to Kiryu and friends.
Played and finished on Playstation While this is a perfectly serviceable remake of Yakuza 1, it's not a very faithful remake as a lot of things are changed and some changes not for the better. I would love to have seen RGG bring the Yakuza 1 and 2 HD collection to PC but sadly it's stuck in Japan and on a dead ♥♥♥♥♥♥ console known as the Wii U
Bring that ♥♥♥♥ kazuma! 10 years in the joint made you a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣀⣠⡀⡀⣠⣀⣀⢀⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⣤⣶⣾⣴⢿⣿⣛⢹⣿⣿⡛⣻⡿⢿⣿⣶⣄⣀⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⣴⣾⣿⠁⢸⠀⣿⢸⢻⣿⠀⠓⣿⡇⣹⡟⢹⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣦⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⣾⣯⣿⣿⣸⡄⣀⠀⢻⡈⣿⣿⠀⣸⣿⠁⣿⣧⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣶⣤⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⡿⢿⣝⣿⣿⣿⣿⣧⣿⣷⣮⠇⣼⣿⣤⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣾⣶⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⣾⣿⣷⣦⡽⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣅⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⣿⣿⣏⣿⣿⣿⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣟⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⠛⠛⠙⠿⠿⠿⠟⠛⠋⠛⢿⣿⡻⡿⠿⠿⠟⣿⣿⠟⠉⠻⠛⠻⠿⠿⢿⠟⠻⣿⣿⣿⣇⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠘⢸⢿⣿⣿⣷⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⣸⣿⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢰⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣉⢻⣿⣿⣿⡟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠸⣿⣿⣿⡿⣏⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⢿⣿⣿⣿⡟⠀⠀⠒⢶⣶⣤⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⣠⣤⣶⡶⠟⠃⠀ ⢹⣿⣿⣿⣿⢿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⢸⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⢻⣦⡀⠈⠹⣿⣿⣷⣶⣤⣄⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣀⣤⣶⣾⣿⠿⠛⠉⠀⣰⡿⠁⠰⣿⣿⣿⠀⣼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⢸⠛⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠈⢻⣿⣌⢿⣿⣿⠋⣻⣿⣿⣷⣶⠄⠀⣶⣾⣿⡍⢿⣿⠿⢁⢋⣽⡿⠋⠀⠀⠀⢹⣟⠟⢲⢻⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣼⡞⡀⢸⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠻⠿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⠛⠛⡉⠁⠈⠉⠙⠩⠿⢿⣿⣿⣿⠿⠛⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣸⣿⢀⣾⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⣿⣿⡿⣆⢻⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠁⠀⠀⠋⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢀⣿⢡⢞⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣿⣿⣿⡎⠹⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢸⡟⢠⣾⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣄⣻⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⣤⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⣾⠁⣼⣿⣿⣿⣿⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣬⠉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢰⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⣼⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⢧⡀⠀⠀⢀⠀⠀⠀⣹⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⢰⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠁⠀⠈⠙⡷⢦⣤⡤⠞⠛⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣧⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⢀⣾⣿⡿⣽⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣧⠀⠀⠀⠀⣤⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠻⠆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⣰⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⣿⣿⣆⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⣼⣻⡿⢱⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣆⠆⠀⠀⢷⣶⣄⣀⣠⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣤⣄⣀⣀⣤⣶⠂ ⢀⡞⢀⣤⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢻⣿⣿⡄⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⣸⠛⡿⠁⣾⡿⣻⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢿⣆⠀⠀⠈⠀⠀⢠⣤⣤⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⣠⣤⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢠⣾⣤⡾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢻⡻⢿⡀⠀⠀ ⠘⠁⠀⠁⢰⡟⠁⢁⣾⣿⣿⣿⢿⣿⣿⠀⠙⢷⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠛⠿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠛⠉⠀⠀ ⠀⡰⢟⣽⠟⠁⣿⡿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⡝⠋⢿⣧⠁⠀⠙⣄⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠜⠀⢀⣞⡞⠁⣠⣥⣾⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠙⢦⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢀⢀⣽⠟⠁⠀⠀⣿⣿⣷⣦⣄⡙⠛⡽⡄⠀⠘⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣘⡴⢛⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠻⣦⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⣾⡿⠃⠀⠀⠀⠀⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣝⠦⣜⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⡴⠋⠉⠀⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⢿⡆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⠿⣦⣤⣤⣤⣄⣀⣄⣤⣴⡿⠋⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡄⣰⠋⠳⢤⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⢀⡴⠋⠀⠀⠀⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣟⠀⠃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠛⠻⠿⣿⠿⠛⠛⠉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠓⠢⢤⣀ ⠀⠀⠼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣸⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⣆⢷⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣼⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣦⡙⢦⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠐⣄⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣦⠙⢦⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣆⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣟⢷⣄⠉⠳⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠸⡄ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠰⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣧⠙⠳⣦⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⣤⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠁ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣤⡈⠙⢿⣶⣤⣄⣐⣲⣴⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢹⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣯⣤⣴⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡉⢙⡿⠿⠿⠿⠿⠟⠉⣹⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
8.5/10 yakuza kiwami has great storytelling that stays coherent after the the events of y0, keeping the player hooked to find out more on how the story will develop further. the game consists of similar (almost the same) fighting styles, overall mechanics, side quests and substories which bring you back to the familiarity of kamurocho. i highly recommend playing y0 before kiwami if you're someone who enjoys the lore, however kiwami is just as good to play standalone. very enjoyable, and worth playing!
God this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It just feels lazy, the story isn't that interesting, the combat isn't very good, and MAJIMA IS SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ANNOYING!! He was funny at first, but after playing for a while, he just became irritating, overall I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone unless you're trying to experience the whole Yakuza series, which is what I'm currently doing
