Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is the ONLY XCOM game I can't recommend. I have LOVED the other games, but this one is like DEI XCOM. The story lines are gross, like woke-stuff and about how we must now live with the invaders. The cast is ...lousy. Not very memorable characters and mostly superwomen with insecure effeminate men. The breach functionality is cool, but the game just doesn't have the impact the others did. Its more like... playing as a member of the cucked European police and going after your own civilians while ignoring huge invader crime. Falls flat and I was bored.

It’s like XCOM but with Saturday morning cartoon energy. Turn-based combat is still fire, breach mode is actually fun, and the squad banter makes me weirdly attached to these alien homies. Not as hardcore as classic XCOM, but honestly? Sometimes I don’t wanna sweat bullets, I just wanna watch my snake lady yeet bad guys.
This game is missing its soul, extended franchise cash grab.

Bueno.
I think this game is a complete downgrade in comparison to XCOM 2 on all fronts. If you liked XCOM 2, you'll probably also like this one, but it's depressing that it's a newer game, yet worse. Also has an incredible amount of bugs and glitches, and really, really bad writing. Overall I'd recommend saving your money and just playing XCOM 2, this one isn't worth the time, it's like a really bad DLC, not a new game, as it reuses everything from XCOM 2, yet somehow it's worse? I'm actually upset I've finished the game because it taints the flavor and lore of the XCOM universe.
