Still can't play something that can beat XCOM 2.
好玩,爱玩
Just completed my first ever run after playing xcom 1, iron man classic. So I went for ironman commander. As usual the early game is very very HARD, but once you get your item all you need is patience. This game has been for me much better than the previous because there is a lot more items / perks, and more enemies, just more content, sometimes you accidently trigger 3 pod and get wiped, but that's realist. I wish there was more customization for soldiers, it's kinda crazy how little there is, I'll probably dive into mods next to get at least more of that. Great game, very hard, good progression, Xcom 3 with Underwater, Space, Cave, and differents biomes would be so sick, and bring so much more replayability and tactical gameplay.
XCOM 2 is a lot of things to a lot of people. For some it's a save scumming, light alien adventure with a rag-tag group of 6-15 operatives throughout the whole game. For some it's a difficult turn based strategy game where you feel the weight of building a group of 20-30 soldiers and tackle the alien menace. For others it's a Star Wars X Every Fortnite Skin 100+ hour warfare with 1000s of soldiers training, fighting, and dying for the cause. That is to say this game has a lot of versatility, and your milage will vary with how close you can manage to get this game to align with the type of experience you're looking for. I don't think there's been a better customizable alien war strategy game released in the decade since XCOM 2 came out.
非常好玩、好盘的游戏,就是MISS有点吃不消。
A must-play for fans of turn-based strategy games. The balance between base management, research priorities, resource allocation, and battlefield operations is excellent, constantly forcing difficult decisions in the fight against the alien threat. The story is fairly minimal, but that's clearly not the focus. Instead, the game shines through its strategic depth and the relentless technological arms race that pushes players to adapt or risk falling behind. This pressure can sometimes feel oppressive, and the game is unforgiving when missions go wrong, but learning from failures and refining your tactics is where the experience is at its best. While combat is often criticized for being luck-based, success ultimately comes down to risk management and maximizing favorable odds. That said, no discussion would be complete without mentioning those infamous missed 98% shots that turn victories into disasters and create some of the most memorable moments the genre has to offer.
One of the best if not the best turn based strategy game there is to date! <3 I would suggest getting the war of the chosen with it because then the game feels really finished.
This game makes you feel like a commander in a world war. That is stressed, overwhelmed, and numb to the death of your soliders. It's great and I love it with all my heart.
