Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played during the 8.0 patch, and it definitely had problems. Npcs were dumber than a box of rocks (tbf there can be hundreds of individually controlled ones on screen), station managers basically wasted your money, lag spikes and a whole bunch of other issues. The concept is fantastic though, just if you're impatient (like me), I'd recommend mods to speed the process up a lot. It is a grindy game. Mods had also been a great band-aid during that time too, though it didn't help the crash issues it had on the steam deck. Moving onto the current patch, some serious optimizations must have happened because my game doesn't crash every few hours on the deck. Might even try my laptop (which before the game was a slide show at best) soon. The issue is still kind of there, usual signs of crash was things loading slowly, frame rate dropping and collision acting weird. I still see those but they actually clear up after a bit. The ai is smarter (going from box of rocks to goldfish territory here), my miners still dive into enemy sectors but I have yet to see one mine directly on top of a stronghold. With modded xl miners that's an expensive issue. I'm using the ragnarok (big asgard, which is basically a floating rail gun. I do mention mods a fair bit here, none of my mods change ai behavior, and all the npcs are the same) and the npc actually lines up the laser shots. Before the asgard was considered a player only because the npc was too dumb to line up and fire the big laser, it's main draw, but in my experience on the 9 patch, they actually work it. It's not the best usage I've seen, but that could be a myriad of things on my end, and it's still better than in the prior version. This is rare for me to say, but the changes I see coming from this game are primarily improvements. Some small things, like not being able to queue 500 separate orders, kind of sucks but that also solved a common issue with fighting ships not responding to anything without serious micro management. The defense drones still have this issue, but they're 12,000 credits in a game where the high loadout of small ships cost millions so not game breaking by any means. Something I will mention is you will be doing a lot of the "same" kind of actions in this game, especially in the beginning. One thing I do like is you don't really need to do quests, outside of just going to heretic's end for research, but doing quests has a unique reward. This game relies heavily on your interactions with the ai in the game, and so making it so you do quests to unlock new factions, or get a new type of ship, and so on is something I'm not used to seeing. Onto this though, make sure you don't have large fleets next to allies, that's a ticking time bomb scenario. If the ai gets hit in just the wrong way, every unit belonging to that faction, in that area primarily, will become hostile. If you have a large fleet and get into a fight, your npc ships very easily could trigger this. Now suddenly you went from one enemy group to two, and every ship on the second damages your reputation fast. I've went from "super friendly" to "hated" in minutes because of this. I especially don't recommend having large fleets during story missions, since they seem to be a lot more trigger happy and it still impacts reputation on that front. That being said, 90 percent of the story missions will just hand you what you need anyway, so I'd just recommend knocking them out of the way asap. Especially if you get the hyperion dlc. It's a fantastic starter ship, though it kind of sucks as a destroyer compared to others. It's just a really fast one. I think one osaka destroyer can out dps 2 or 3 hyperions for more context (all high presets). Moving on from that, the story missions do get quite repetitive upon restarts, but this is a game that really feels like it wants you to keep playing the same game as opposed to new games, so it makes a bit of sense.
Major pros/cons Good: - Awesome space economy simulator - Game transitions from personal ship missions into strategic management from map view. I enjoy both. - Player is let free to choose its own objectives; e.g. who to fight/help and how to do this. - Pretty cool space dogfights - Enough variation in ships/weapons, but not too much - Missions are fun, albeit a bit slow sometimes. Allthough there are multiple paths for most lines i dont bother to do them more than once usually. Weaves in nicely with other activities. Bad: ( i hope devs read this) - AI (both from player vessels and pc factions) often suck. AI often goes for obviously unfavourable battles. Player ships get themselves killed in stupid situations. Artillery units love to dogfight & die. Game offers some rulesets to apply to own automated ship but could be improved upon. - UI & controls not very streamlined. Some (often done) tasks need an annoying amount of clicks & menus. - Some structures/units not destroyable & factions cant be fully destroyed. - No tunable universe parameters such as xenon aggression. I hope dlcs wont add more
Extremely bad task tip, terrible decryption, and boring. The creation plan is just a mess. Second assistant, if the poison circle is not marked on the map, it will die. Unfortunately, they like to put some laser gun turrets. After searching for it for a long time, they found out it was poison. If you mark it and give a hint, it will die, right? Forcing the operation of the spacesuit is even more frustrating. Is it possible for the spacesuit to crash into the high-speed space for two minutes? Can I skip the task without knowing how to design? I'm so angry. nmd, It's been 18 years of games, and now it's 26 years. You're still a bunch of his mother task tips. Are you a person?
A big difference between this game and X3 is the huge quality of life improvements and how the ships are designed and stations are built. My hours played should give a good indicator. It is a great sandbox game with a lot of choice on how you want to proceed. A pirate, a trader, a diplomatic ship seller or a little in between. There are a few annoyances especially if you have had a few play through. You can always dip into the Mods section and a big shout out to them as there is plenty to choose from. This includes minor changes, new ships to complete overhauls. The one downside which I think a few people also mention is the storyline is nowhere near as good as X3. However, do we really pay attention to the story with sandbox games? In terms of DLC, i think are all great additions in terms of content. I can't comment on timelines as I don't have it and don't plan to after seeing the reviews. This game and DLC is frequently on sale so I would put on wishlist wait.
