Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Great depth, lots of good gameplay to be had, and really fun space dogfights!
Alors...

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

21 hours in...I have no idea what's happening...Came from Elite dangerous which i have all together thousands of hours across systems, also couple of thousands of hours in Star Citizen... X4 seems like 10 times more difficult than all the above. The guidance is difficult to follow and the menu and ui feels that you would need an engeneer degree BUT... The game feels alive, like everything has a purpose,is not about the visuals or flying is more about building something and see it grow or not grow... I'm excited to be part of this game eventually,i think me joining on Update 9 is the right thing to do as aparently lots of things has been fixed ? Can't comment on that. The game runs perfect,i have the best pc money can buy but i think is very light compare to Star Citizen. I wish there were UI customization like move the ui elements or stop external camera from drifting like crazy on a tiny input. I would love to see the extenal camera fixed similar to Elite. I love that UI elements stay even when playing with the external camera,i think that's where elite falls short, big difference in game. I want to play this like its a game,i don't want to be a real pilot. In the 20+ hours i spend,i started in Cradle of Humanity to be in SOL system, aparently that's an expensive start to do as everything cost but i don't mind. I just go around, free roam to open some hexagon sectors, haven't even done a single mission yet. Just trying to learn the X4 mechanics first. So far feels very different than any other space game which is what makes it special. I will update the review in due time
I have tried them all, star citizen, ED, Avorion, Stellaris you name it I’ve played it. I’ve only out in about 30 hours in so far and have had to look at A LOT OF GUIDES. First off, the UI is atrocious I will put that front and center as my chief complaint. The systems for doing just about anything are terrible designed and hard to figure out without watching numerous videos. But once you get them you get them and the game opens up. There’s a semi-steep learning curve and A LOT going on. I’ve obviously just barely scratched the surface but I really do enjoy the game. Being able to dock my ship on a larger ship and then standing on the deck watching hundreds of lightyears worth of space zip by in real time is awesome. if you want something like Stellaris where you can pilot your own ship and actually move around with a character this is it. If you’re wanting an experience like star citizen where you land on planets then this is NOT. No planet surfaces only stations. Which doesn’t affect gameplay because this game is really a military industrial complex sim. Every ship has a destination. Every freighter is carrying supplies to make military fleets even if it’s raw resources the end goal for every faction is to make as large if a military as possible and it’s up to you the player to weasel your way in there somehow. Only want to have a mining fleet? The materials you gather and sell will be used to make a navy. Want to purchase materials and build a factory to churn out ship parts? The factions that buy them are using them for their navy. One way or another you’re participating in the military industry it’s just a matter of how involved you are going to be. Solid 8.5/10 No one else does it quite like this.
its excelent. it has both parts, the space thing, and the strategic part. Commerce, and to have a station and ships is excelent.
Nearly 750 hours into this game should tell you all you need to know. Its a great game, It can be slower in places but there is always something going on that give you something to focus on being it building a new station to optimising fleets. Let alone building your trade empire and earning your millions of credits
