Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
RTS Elite dangerous! Love it. Lots of depth and fun building your own fleet and stations. Trading, mining, direct FP space combat with the ability to control fleets. Stations are tricky to figure out, but it's great overall.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

一通りの操作や遊び方が分かってからは面白いが、序盤の10時間ほどはただただチュートリアルをやらされている感じです。 大航海時代のような交易が好きな方は特に楽しめるとは思います。
Not the all time highest quality game out there, but I'll be damned if it isn't fun! It gives you tons of freedom. Granted the animations are stiff, the AI navigation is janky and the voice acting is well... also stiff. The thing I love most is the freedom to do what you want in an open universe though. If you want to be a pirate hunting mercenary, do it. Want to be an industrialist miner or trader? Go for it. Want to start up your own government and have your own fleet of ships policing an area for you while AI controlled ships under your command handle all things industry and commerce for you and you just relax in your station watching it all take place? Have a freakin happy! You can own literally any type of ship and produce your own fleets, take on missions and do some story content all from open universe. There's even an entire hostile faction that will attack you and anybody else on sight that you CAN go and wipe out if you want to. There's even stuff you can do outside of ships. Boarding, hacking, espionage and supposedly on foot combat and hijacking from what I read. And that's before the workshop content! It has more than workable controller support and i've ran it on my windows 7 era laptop just fine. The only real con is how much of the game is split up into DLCs but the DLCs I grabbed on sale for a decent price so in total I spent around $60 total thanks to sales. My only other gripe is the lack of multiplayer. Not much of a valid reason to not include at least some kind of multiplayer. If you run an entire government and multiple fleets, you'd think having a second person to help out with the management side would be useful. I guess the devs over at Egosoft just don't have friends or something because multiplayer isn't a thing... I feel sorry for them.
The game has been fun for the first 50 hours or so and I expect that I will put a lot more hours into it. It therefore deserves a positive review. A couple of (mostly negative) things to keep in mind for anyone reading this and thinking about buying (I'm not going into all the good things to keep it shorter): - Learning the game takes time and is not optional. Expect to invest the first 10 hours or so playing this game to learn the basics of it. The tutorial in game, youtube videos (by the developers) and an online manual help, but are not perfect. There is no option to get some "hand holding" in the beginning. You're on your own in a sandbox. - The game supports mods (big plus) and I strongly recommend to make use of it. (mitigate frindly fire glitches, increase range of combat encounters, option to get at least a little money from combat etc.) - This is not a "freelancer 2" -> the player is expected to build and constantly manage their own faction. Playing in a "freelancer" style did not seem valid and hardly possible at all. * on the same note: the game is a grind. A fun grind most of the time, but grindy nevertheless and some "freelancer-like" gameplay (particularly in the early game) would have been welcome. - There is only war. The only purpose of "the economy" is to build and supply warships and defense stations. - There is no story (that deserves the name). - The AI is "bad"(just an AI) which leads to glitches, frustration and funny situations. (Not a criticism of the developers as the AI is always the weak point in these games. Just something for players to adjust their mindset) It's a sandbox simulation where your building up a faction to fight (a) war(s). If that's what you want you'll have great fun. Its also moddable. The other aspects of the game seem underdeveloped (on purpose, need to set priorities as a developer) so don't expect (to much of) deep strategic gameplay, action gameplay or a story that draws you in. My whish for X5 would be that an additional element (such as simulating the population and have a "real" economy OR enhance the action gameplay to make "freelancer-like" gameplay valid and include maybe a stealth/recon mechanic and story elements etc.) will be added to build upon the very solid foundation (pun intended) that we have so far.
I don't like semi-mandatory missions to unlock zones and factions as i mostly use this game as a sandbox but using it as you would use RTS game is really good. Dev improved different ships "flight" sensations so every ship feels unique instead of just linear movement decrease so you feel some g's so dogfighting and FPS battles feels good. Warning : players looking for space action may think that some things are about setting tons of menus to make things happen.
