Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 15 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An older visual novel, that is still very story rich and has good game mechanics like skills and timing. The story can go in any direction as Your skills grow and characters reveal more about themselves.

X-note is a mystery-driven visual novel that blends psychological suspense, character drama, romance, and supernatural intrigue into a cohesive and emotionally engaging narrative. Developed and published by Zeiva Inc, the game follows Essi, a young girl haunted by the unresolved circumstances of her mother’s death, who begins working at a research facility and gradually uncovers conspiracies tied to her past. What initially seems like a straightforward school setting quickly develops into something darker, and the game excels at establishing a sense of unease—every new clue, conversation, or subtle shift in tone pushes the player further into a web of uncertainty. Rather than overwhelming the player with exposition, the writing relies on gradual revelations, slowly unraveling mysteries while keeping emotional stakes grounded in Essi’s personal journey. The result is a story that feels intimate even as the plot expands into scientific experimentation, moral ambiguity, and paranormal forces. Gameplay offers more interactivity than a standard linear visual novel. Alongside branching dialogue choices that influence relationships and story progression, X-note incorporates investigation sequences, item use, and memory-based minigames that reinforce the themes of deduction and psychological strain. These mechanics are simple but effective, breaking up reading segments and encouraging the player to actively participate in solving the overarching mystery. The stat-building system—focused on intelligence, psychic affinity, and emotional resilience—adds another strategic layer, determining what routes and endings the player can unlock. This structure makes multiple playthroughs feel meaningful instead of repetitive, as new choices and stat focuses reveal narrative perspectives that would otherwise remain hidden. The game rewards curiosity, close attention, and emotional investment rather than random trial-and-error. The branching-route format plays a major role in shaping the storytelling experience. Each of the selectable romance paths not only develops Essi’s relationships, but also reveals different facets of the overarching mystery, giving players additional context, motives, and truths. These routes vary in tone—some leaning toward warmth and companionship, others drifting into suspense, emotional strain, or moral conflict. The romance elements are not superficial add-ons; instead, they function as emotional entry points into the deeper narrative, exploring how trust, vulnerability, secrecy, and trauma shape human connections. The multiple endings—ranging from uplifting to tragic—reflect the story’s emotional complexity rather than offering simple success-or-failure binaries. This narrative flexibility adds significant replay value and reinforces the sense that Essi’s fate truly depends on the player’s decisions. Visually, X-note stands out through its distinctive art direction. Character designs are expressive and memorable, using stylistic exaggeration, eye detail, and posture to communicate personality long before dialogue clarifies it. The color palette supports mood shifts—bright tones for mundane moments, cooler or desaturated hues during tense investigations, and dramatic lighting during climactic revelations. Backgrounds maintain a polished hand-drawn quality that gives school environments, laboratories, and psychological spaces texture and atmosphere. The UI remains clean and thematic, enhancing readability without distracting from the story. The soundtrack complements the visual tone, alternating between subdued emotional melodies, ambient unease, and sharper tracks during moments of risk or confrontation. While the music is not flamboyant or dominant, it provides subtle emotional guidance, reinforcing narrative beats without overwhelming them. X-note’s greatest strength lies in its emotional and thematic depth. It tackles heavy subjects—grief, identity, experimentation ethics, trust, memory, and self-worth—without turning them into melodrama. Essi is not a passive protagonist; her fears, doubts, and determination shape the narrative and make her growth feel authentic. The supporting cast is written with nuance, avoiding one-dimensional archetypes. Even antagonistic characters are portrayed with understandable motivations, suggesting that the truth behind the mystery is more tragic than villainous. The supernatural elements feel symbolic rather than arbitrary, reinforcing psychological and moral themes rather than overshadowing them. The story carries a reflective tone, inviting players to consider how the past shapes the present and how knowledge can both heal and wound. However, the game’s design choices may not resonate with everyone. The pacing can feel slow for players expecting immediate revelations or high-volume action. The minigames, while thematically appropriate, may feel repetitive during extended sessions. Some narrative branches require specific stat allocation or multiple playthroughs to fully grasp key plot points, which may frustrate players seeking a complete experience in one run. The art style, while striking, reflects the indie nature of the project, and those accustomed to fully voiced or highly animated visual novels may find it minimalist. Yet these limitations stem from the game’s budget, creative direction, and genre identity rather than shortcomings in ambition or craftsmanship. Ultimately, X-note succeeds because it prioritizes atmosphere, character development, narrative cohesion, and emotional sincerity. It respects the player’s intelligence and curiosity, offering a mystery that unfolds organically rather than through heavy exposition. Zeiva Inc balances romance, suspense, supernatural intrigue, and psychological introspection in a way that feels thoughtfully constructed rather than formulaic. For fans of narrative-heavy games, character-driven mysteries, branching visual novels, or emotional stories tied to personal discovery, X-note offers a compelling and rewarding experience—one that lingers in memory long after the final ending is reached. Got my key revoked but the game is nice
Scid и Acia.
Very disappointed in developer Zeiva Inc for revoking Steam keys for this, and other games, legitimately purchased and included in indie game bundles on Indiegala and Groupees more than 6 years after their initial bundle feature.
