It is a well-done dark amare game with a mystical plot. It took me a while to get this game, but in the end I got rather hooked on the plot. Pros: 1. A long-lasting game, there are just too many options and branches to explore. 2. Incredible art design. The art shapes the atmosphere and the game mood - its every part makes sense and unravels a bit of the story. 3. Main character customization. A rare and pleasant option to find in a visual novel game. 4. Marvelous music to listen to. Cons: 1. The game is too dark for my taste, story-wise. The warning at the bottom of the description is to be taken seriously. 2. There are many bachelors but only one is available at this point, and the second one can be found in the DLC. Notes: 1. The game doesn't give you hints on what to choose or how to act. And no walkthrough is available atm. If you love to explore and try routes - you can enjoy the game straight away. If you prefer to play once and get your happy end I suggest waiting till the walkthrough is available. Conclusion: While Degraman isn't perfect, it's a must-play for amare lovers and those who like darker themes the most. Hopefully, we'll get more amazing games from the devs in the future.
I discovered this VN completely by accident, and I am now officially and proudly a dedicated fan!
Things I Loved:
- The writing is extremely entertaining, and the dialogue is GOLD (great tension!) with lots of hilarious and "right on" moments that had that me chuckling at many points of the story - The MC is a spunky lady, I loved reading her internal dialogue and enjoyed her horny outlook on many situations, and also the fact that she's not taking herself too seriously - I LOVED all the boys and their charactеrisation (well written, authentic, and complex), how different they are and the dynamics between them, and the harem fan service was obviously some pure JOY - Absolutely loved the art, each character has several poses! Quite a good number of CG which were made with love. The backgrounds are another gem in this VN, and they are WORKS OF ART all hand drawn (at least I think they are, they don't have that 3D feel you see in a lot of VNs) - The romance route I've played so far turned out to be quite intriguing, dark and also very elaborate! It's been a while that I found myself staying up late at night trying to get to the bottom of it all. wow. just WOW.
Things I wanted the entire time I was playing:
- To slap Vincent and make that boy BEHAVE, and then pin him to the wall and have my way with him. - The NSFW!!! If it ever comes out I'm purchasing it with my eyes closed! - The voice over! This VN would be EXTRA PERFECT with some sweet VO To sum everything up this VN has VERY high entertainment value for the money. Recommend for anyone looking for some fun, dark and complex story with gorgeous boys, amazing aesthetics, awesome romance and rich dialogue! I will be eagerly awaiting the next installment!

I have played alot of games like this, and honestly this had potential. I like the characters, and I like the darkness in it, but as many other games like this, the MC failed horrible. I just cant stand when the MC is being stupid and then suddenly "omg he is so sexually handsome", and then ashamed over her own feelings. I mean come on! I have seen alot of good reviews here, but I cant honestly back that up. The story isnt that good, and I had to quit further in the game because it was just stupid. Everything became more and more horrible, I would NOT recommend this game at all. But hey most people dont learn unless they try it out for themselves, so. How this game got so many good reviews is beyond me O.O
It hasn't got a completely horrible story, but it seems no matter what you do, it always ends poorly. It's really quite depressing. MC isn't very likeable either, she's a horny moron tbh. It doesn't help that she can't even fight and the others aren't even really willing to teach her. Though in the end, it seems no matter how hard she tries, she'll always be a useless burden, even if the boys don't agree.
I wrote a very positive review at first but I changed my mind after seeing the second DLC in a kind of interactive playthrough demo. This was always a very confusing story that didn't make sense in some parts, was very cryptic and very vague - but I liked the characters enough to let it slide AND this felt like just the first chapter in a suspenseful mystery, so I expected some answers in the second chapter and lots more later on. I also actually LOVE the artwork. But the second chapter is just a completely new story in a different universe or something that's just opening up hundreds of new questions, being vague and cryptic again! It really shattered my expectations and I'm not sure if I can recommend this anymore, even though I'm still thinking about some of the characters years later. I will leave the thumbs up because I spent so much time with it and am a bit sentimental. And honestly, the CGs are great. But that's about it.
This is disgusting. While all characters a beautifully drawn, the beauty of art is all that game could suggest. This is literately the first, in my long life and long experience with BAD novels, novel that make me gag, and only in demo already. All you want from a bad novel you can find here. Spineless, weak MC with now choice, but go with the flow. Abusive and manipulative love interests, in all way possible. Narrative punishment for choosing development of actual character for MC. Choice without real choice.
The play time is off as I had something to attend to and didn't get a chance to turn the game off before leaving it. I didn't get very far because I got really, really bored. That's the end of it. The story starts mid-action, with the protagonist waking up on a park bench and (at least following the choices that the dev highlights if you with to be guided towards a certain ending) following two unknown men to an unspecified location just because they tell her that she's in danger. No "What the hell are you on about???", no "I felt uncharacteristically compelled to follow them, what's wrong with me???". Nothing. There's no acknowledgement that this is a very uncommon behaviour for anyone with any brain. She just goes, then she ends up somewhere that is apparently in a different... dimension? continent? Who knows. The narration just throws this stuff at the reader with no foreshadowing, no preparation. I kind of presume this is a fantasy world just because of some offhand exclamation that might have been perhaps some deity's name? No idea, again: no explanation. I feel that this would have worked a lot better if the main character had been introduced a bit to begin with, so her actions don't feel quite as insane for any normal human being. If the narration acknowledged that it's weird to follow complete strangers, that not knowing why she was asleep on a park bench is at the very least rather worrying, if the weird language ("Ill-come", the probably-a-deity's-name used as exclamation) was not just thrown at the reader without some introduction or background... this wouldn't feel so random? I can tell there's quite some effort put in: the graphics are competently done, so is the music. The option to be guided towards a specific ending that's not a bad ending is a nice extra. I just think the writing itself is really not up to snuff, even as a pulpy, supernatural harem story.
Achievements doesn't unlock despite doing everything right, if you decide to add achievements in your game, at least make it work
Achievements are broken and you can’t earn it since a while. Nothing against the game but if a game offers achievements, I want to earn it legal through playing the game. Dev are too busy to take care of their sequel. Don’t waste your time on this.
Heads up, I've only played the free version so far. I have mixed feelings about the game. There were some really enjoyable parts, the characters seem interesting (especially Victor and Bastie, even though their routes aren't out yet). The concept is interesting as well. What really took me out of it was the ending. It seemed a bit out of nowhere, and happened right when the romance with Vincent was actually kicking off. This is probably more of a personal preference then anything else, and I don't mind dark themes in the slightest. But from looking at other reviews it seems like EVERY ending is bad. I'm really curious about the DLC, (especially when they do Victor and Bastie's route), but the probability that there aren't any remotely 'happy' endings is putting me off. I don't need sunshine and rainbows. I know the every choice leading to some degree of inevitable tragedy is on purpose. If you are looking for a game where darkness, death, mystery, hopelessness and sorrow is the point. I recommend giving the game a go. If you are looking for an incredibly dark story where the romance is still satisfying I'd probably skip it.
