WRC 7 is a good game if you ask me. Having only previously played Dirt 5 and Xpand Rally, WRC 7, in comparison, is amazing. While there are certain things that aren't my favorite, such as how few cars there are, most everything else is a positive. As someone with over 1,000 hours across various racing games, jumping into this game was pretty easy and I was able to very quickly learn the quirks. The campaign is... fine... but not my favorite. The fact that you just do whatever and really have no say in where you go causes the progression to feel extremely rigid. Even Xpand Rally was able to setup a campaign that allows you to chose what races you do, while still requiring you to do them all. The only other downside worth noting is how trapped in time this game feels. Everything is SPECIFICALLY 2017. Not that it affects anything, but it's odd to view nearly 10 years later. The nice thing is that the graphics don't feel trapped in 2017, as they still hold up to today's standards in my opinion. 8.5/10. A very fun game, but never feels fast and has too few cars to choose from to keep you coming back for more. Definitely worth grabbing when it's on sale.
