Wordle 1v1 on one shared board: you and your rival get the same hidden five-letter word and take turns guessing it. After each guess the letters light up to show what's in the word and where. Whoever cracks it first wins It's a two-player word game for playing Wordle with friends or against a rival online. And when you'd rather play alone, the solo mode works like Wordle Unlimited: no daily limit, a new word whenever you want one RANKED DUELS Every 1v1 match puts you up against an opponent close to your rating. Each guess lights up clues for both of you, so whatever you figure out, your rival sees too. You get 45 seconds per turn, and if you keep letting the clock run out, you lose the duel. Win and your rating goes up, lose and it drops PLAY WITH A FRIEND Open a private room and send your friend its four-letter code or link. Same board, same clock, no rating at stake, and the app keeps the score of your series. Want another round? Ask for a rematch and it starts as soon as you both agree. The first move switches sides every round, so the series stays fair FRIENDS Share your personal invite link: whoever opens it becomes your friend right away. Find people by name or code, follow your friends' streaks and ratings, and challenge any of them to a duel ENDLESS SOLO Nobody to wait for and no daily limit. You get six tries per word, and when you're done there's always another one DAILY STREAK Play one game a day in any mode to keep your streak alive. A loss counts just like a win. Streak freezes cover the days you miss: you get 3 when you first sign in and 3 more for every friend you invite who finishes a game. And if a streak burns out anyway, win 5 games within two weeks to bring it back. The streak page shows your calendar and the next milestone, the rating page your last 30 duels. If you like, the app will remind you in the evening on days you haven't played yet FOUR LANGUAGES Guess in English, Spanish, Portuguese or Russian. Each language has its own dictionary and keyboard, and Russian comes with a Cyrillic one. Pick a language on the main screen and the app remembers it, which comes in handy if you're learning one of them. After every game you get a card for the hidden word with its meaning and two example sentences FREE, NO SIGN-UP Just open it and play. The app speaks 100 languages and picks up your phone's language on its own, along with light or dark mode. Signing in with Google is optional and keeps your rating and streak when you switch phones. You can delete your account right in the app PLAY IN YOUR BROWSER Worduel runs in the browser too, at worduel.gg Worduel is an independent game and is not affiliated with The New York Times
