What could be better than relaxing in nature? Taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city in a small cottage. Spending time reading books by the fireplace. But one night, strange voices began to echo from deep within the basement.

Outdated boring walking simulator.
Wooden House, developed and published by GDNomaD, is a short first-person indie horror experience that centers on atmosphere, isolation, and creeping supernatural tension. The premise is straightforward: you retreat to a quiet countryside cabin seeking peace and solitude, only for that calm to unravel as strange events begin to unfold within the wooden walls of your new home. It is a game that relies less on complex systems and more on mood, environmental storytelling, and the slow erosion of safety. The opening moments establish a deliberately tranquil tone. The cabin, surrounded by rural stillness and removed from the pressures of urban life, initially feels like a sanctuary. The interior design reinforces this impression, with wooden textures, simple furnishings, and a modest layout that suggests comfort and quiet living. However, as night falls and unexplained sounds echo through the structure, the atmosphere shifts. Creaking floorboards, distant whispers, and unsettling environmental cues begin to chip away at the illusion of safety. The horror in Wooden House grows gradually rather than erupting immediately, encouraging players to absorb the environment and question what is real. Gameplay unfolds through exploration and light survival elements. Players move through the cabin and surrounding areas in first-person perspective, interacting with objects and uncovering pieces of a loose narrative. There is minimal guidance or handholding; objectives are not clearly marked, and the game does not rely heavily on tutorials. This lack of explicit direction can heighten immersion, making the experience feel more organic and tense, but it can also lead to moments of confusion. Progress often depends on observation and experimentation rather than explicit instructions, reinforcing the sense of vulnerability. The horror elements lean toward psychological unease rather than constant action. While there are moments designed to startle, much of the tension comes from anticipation. The use of lighting plays an important role in shaping the experience. Dimly lit corridors, flickering shadows, and narrow sightlines amplify the sense of claustrophobia inside the wooden structure. The game does not feature highly detailed or cutting-edge visuals, but its use of space and darkness effectively conveys dread. The simplicity of the setting works in its favor, as the confined environment keeps the focus on subtle changes and unexplained phenomena. Sound design is one of the stronger components of Wooden House. Ambient noises are carefully placed to sustain tension. The quiet moments between disturbances are often more unsettling than overt scares, as the absence of sound invites players to anticipate what might happen next. The combination of rural stillness and sudden intrusive noises enhances the contrast between peace and fear. This reliance on audio cues underscores the game’s emphasis on atmosphere over mechanical complexity. In terms of structure, Wooden House is a relatively brief experience. It does not offer extensive branching paths or deep gameplay systems. Instead, it delivers a compact narrative arc designed to evoke a focused emotional response. Replay value is limited, as much of the impact comes from the first encounter with its scares and discoveries. However, its short duration makes it accessible to players looking for a concise horror experience rather than a long campaign. Ultimately, Wooden House is an indie horror title that prioritizes mood and simplicity. It may not appeal to players seeking elaborate storytelling, advanced mechanics, or extended playtime, but it succeeds in crafting a tense and atmospheric scenario within a confined setting. Its strength lies in how effectively it transforms a seemingly peaceful retreat into a space of unease. For those who appreciate minimalist horror experiences built around isolation and ambient tension, Wooden House offers a brief but unsettling journey into rural dread. Rating: 6/10

"has a few new things compared to the devs previous games but still the same game play." https://youtu.be/uOzrzY99oo0?si=feuz3m08YHn5TK1f
Game kept crashing, no settings/graphics controls, alt tabbing is broken and I had to work around it, if there was an ending to the game it just is a black screen The only thing this game does is actually follow a REALLY vague story, but it at least has a little of a story. Play through time is about 20 minutes, but you spend another 20 just having to keep restarting the game due to the crashing. My PC meets system requirements. I had to verify my files via Steam just to get past one save spot due to the crashing. It fixed that spot for me at least.

Another creatively bankrupt project from GDNomaD using generic Game Guru assets and a poorly Google translated English script. The cherry on top is that the game crashed twice despite only being 10 to 15 minutes in length. Complete and utter trash that should be avoided. Even at 50 cents on sale, you'd still be getting ripped off.
