I've played 7 hours and spent all of it in the engine room, while the captain fires torpedoes in hopes of hitting something. Commands the dive officer to call me on the intercom to have pointless conversations, and then appears like your uninvited mother-in-law singing "It's a long way to tipperary"
Really enjoy this game I think it took me a solid 7 hours of tutorials and practice before I could sink a ship with a torpedo. Now I can hit a small one in bad weather at night. 10/10 would bang head on desk again.
Good game and community
> Look at the steam library > lauch the wolfpack > start the game > find the convoy > try to sink it > you missed > look behind you -
enemy dd
> in panic start diving > wait in deathly silence > get hit with a bomb - realize you are cooked > sink > forget about this game for half a year > repeat 10/10
Is this a dead game? No, it's not. The beta versions are the ones that get updated, whether it's the beta, or the testing version. To opt into this, right click on your game in the library and go to properties, then click on game versions & betas to see which is the most recently updated version, and opt into that. That version is the one that the playerbase uses. As for actually joining, the game has a Discord that lets you get in touch with other players that organize rounds. There's different Flotillas you can join that are accepting towards new and experienced people, and you'll actually learn quite a bit from them (which helps a lot with the learning curve of this game). The official server also holds Torpedo Tuesday and Torpedo Thursday, which brings in quite a few people.
