About
Within the Cosmos is a single-player first-person sci-fi RPG.

The year is 2278. Humanity teeters on the brink of extinction. As a member of the United Earth Space Agency (UESA), you were one of 500 chosen for cryogenic sleep and launched aboard a starship to the secluded Adallio star system. This hidden refuge, far from the devastating war consuming Earth, was humanity's last hope for survival.
But something went wrong. Your ship arrived generations later than planned. Upon awakening, you discover a fractured society. Humanity has splintered into various factions, each with its own politics, philosophies, and ambitions. To make matters worse, a mysterious and deadly android enemy has recently emerged, threatening the fragile peace.
Amidst the tension and turmoil, you must navigate this divided world, uniting (or further dividing) the factions and uncovering the truth behind the relentless android attacks. The future of humanity depends on your choices.
Love RPG? Make sure to Follow my Curator Page
An indie sci-fi RPG clearly inspired by The Outer Worlds, focusing on dialogue, player choice, and shaping your own path. It doesn’t have the same budget or polish, but it captures that familiar feeling of exploring a reactive world and making decisions that matter. GOOD: ✔️Hand-crafted world ✔️Solid sci-fi atmosphere ✔️Multiple ways to approach situations ✔️Great story with multiple endings BAD: ❌Bugs in quests ❌Looks simple and a bit cheap ✔️7/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0R6U01BeHQ
And don't forget to Subscribe to my Youtube

Join my Steam Group
I really, really wanted to give a chance to this game. It's been developed BY A SINGLE PERSON FOR EIGHT YEARS. I mean that should count, right?... well, no. There's a simple rule: if you are a newbie dev and make a hobby game, DON'T ASK FOR MONEY FOR A TRIAL PROJECT THAT IS FULL OF BUGS I mean there are such issues with this game that could've been fixed ages ago. Some of these: - some surfaces just straight up not making your walk sound, so you literally are noiseless. Extremely immersion breaking. - Certain UI issues which can force you to Alt-F4 as you can't move (like try clicking on the map icon where you can't fast travel a few times) - You can fall out of the map as it's unfinished a lot of places. I mean really? The list could go on, but there's no point. Also QoL is just nonexistent here. You can't just fast travel anywhere on the map with icons, only "social hubs" (so, towns). Performance is ♥♥♥♥ on a mid-to-high performance PC with generic and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics where changing anything doesn't help with FPS. Overall: I'm sorry, but this is just not enough if you want to get paid. I was giving it too much to prove and so I can't refund.
Very ambitious for a low priced indie! Definitely a few bugs that I’ve had to work around, if they can work them out this is pretty impressive for a solo dev and at this price.
Janky but the looting bug patched already. Will wait for a couple more patches but looks good and not refunding as the developer deserves support :)
the outer worlds from New Delhi
Wouldn't buy this until there are more updates and fixes for crashing error. Gave it time for a fix or patch for the fatal error but has been nothing coming from developer so i am refunding.
WHen you judge a game like this, you must consider the circumstances of its creation. This game was created more or less by a single person, and the credits show it. Considering this, this game is a small miracle. It has its jankiness, but there are good ideas put on the table and the overall experience is, for me, positive. The game starts a bit abrutply after a relatively good character creation. You are put into your mission somewhat without much preparation, i mean, if i wake up after a long criosleep and a guy sends me on a mission i would for sure have questions. But after that, everything is quite enjoyable. Overall, i would say that for the price, and again considering it was made by a single person, this is an enjoyable game that is well deserving of being bought and tried. You should NOT expect Fallout 4, or Outer Worlds, of course, but it remains a good experience.
Game has more bus in version 2 than before. You can't upgrade weapons and my system crashed playing the game. You can also not remove games. I think I have to many saves and it will not allow me to play the game. You should not have the game save so many times to fill up cache.
the game crashes when i try to go through a barrier in the med centre.
I like this game! Is it perfect? no. Will it compete with triple A titles? no. But is it a great effort by a solo dev to make a game that is interesting and fun? Definitely yes. I have not run into any bugs except one stopping my smg from working. All other weapons, containers, vendors, etc. have been working just fine on my run through. I have just made it to Alios and am looking forward to finishing the game. Too often we judge games by solo developers as not good enough compared to huge blockbuster games. But it is very hard for solo devs to get their games to a playable level, let alone a game like this with an interesting plot. Also, the developer is still releasing updates and I think that is pretty good. The game isn't expensive and I hope more players will give it a chance.
