It would be a great game, it's a pity that the developer abandoned this project
This game is a horrible buggy mess. I was exited to try a game made by Skyrim modders. I shouldn't have been. I spend 5+ minutes in loading screens just to be unable to move to talk to a guy across the room. Got softlocked into a cutscene that was staring at the ground the entire time. Fun. This game is buggy, incomplete, and not worth the time it took to download.
Another abandoned Early Access failure.

The game isn't in the best state right now, but the story of the developers is very inspiring to me as an indi dev. For those of you who don't know this game is a project made by ex Skryrim modders who wanted to make their own game. Just for that reason you should buy this game to support them and set an examples for modders everywhere that we are ok with them doing their own thing and showing real creativity! Good work Druid and good luck o7
Brought this on sale, but hadn't played it as I wanted to wait until it was more developed. I see now it seems to have been abandoned so I thought i'd try it out of interest. Not worth even buying on sale. First most annoying thing is it should be renamed Witanlore: Loadtimes. As I spent most of the time loading the game, takes much longer than any other game even the most recent ones. Then somehow lags a bit even if the graphics aren't that good and my pc runs all the recent games at high quality. I get into the game finally, open a chest and equip some armor I found in it. Suddenly I can't move my character anymore, I can just look around at the npc standing in front of me that the game is telling me to talk to. Alt-F4.. never to go back to the game again.
I LOVED the idea that modders were making a full game. So, I purchased it as soon as it became available even though I was not interested in the characters and knew nothing of the story. I just wanted to help them succeed. I have bought games from modders in the past and they were as good as anything out there. But these guys took my money and didn't even deliver a decent tutorial. I bought the game for full price long before it went to less than a buck. Since they promised a lot of things and took our money, then abandoned it, if they had any integrity, they would provide full refunds. It is NOT in Early Access. They walked away from the project once they took our money. Almost everything in the description is a lie. It is nowhere near a game at all, not even a short one. It is a crime called theft. They should be ashamed of themselves for stealing our money. The page and ability to buy it at ANY price should be removed.
It's not even playable yet. Not even close.
I'm all for early access, and I understand that means one will be "testing" a game that is still in development, but come on people! Here's my 47 minutes of gameplay: 1. Install (it installed with "corrupted data" and I had to verify over 85 files before I could play) 2. Make a character. (The avatar didn't save the first time and I had to start over.) 3. Make a character. (There's really no explanation of what the classes are, but it's pretty classic "warrior, rogue, etc." 4. Try to play. (I got as far as walking to a chest next to where one spawns into the world, opening it, and mucking around in my inventory. Apparently this was "out of order, for what the tutorial expected, or something, because I then found I could no longer move - at all.) 5. Try to figure out why I can't move. (No answer was forthcoming) 6. Uninstall. Just...yikes. The art and music was beautiful. I never got to play the game. I don't know why the WASD that worked just fine to walk me over to the chest I opened suddenly disengaged or whatever, but now I cannot move. That means I cannot play. I want my buck back. Just...geeze.
Neat story and basis for the game. Very interesting graphics. In early access late 2017, but this game has the potential to be a kick-ass game!
Just to be clear, I am an original backer for this game from when it was on Kickstarter, so I might be slightly biased. I have to agree with the general consensus here, in that this game has a lot of potential. Like from the first 5 minutes of the tutorial and the opening cinematic, you can tell a lot of attention has been given to the lore and setting and its plain to see the developers have big plans for this game. Gameplay wise its a bit hit and miss. I know we are only on Patch 17 (as time of writing) and I assume its going to go up to Patch 100 so theres still plenty of time to fix these things. Combat is a bit of a mess, I recently completed the quest where you have to run the obstacle course, during it you have the option to fight giant wasps (Wickets I think they're called?) and a boar. I have no idea how hit detection works but you can be up close with enemies and be hitting nothing. I also wasn't to sure how much health they have left. They have an icon over there head, with like hit bars, but its rather unclear as to when they're at half health or lower. Play it and you'll see what I mean. However killing these enemies and completing the optional objectives did hit me up with some items that will help further down the line. A positive gameplay aspect I found was the grab system. If you press G, you then have the option to grab and move things, similar to if you hold E in Skyrim, but way more responsive. I can see that being a really useful gameplay mechanic further down the line. I also plan to barricade people in their homes just to see what happens. Graphically the game is fine for the stage of where it is at. For some reason it reminds me a lot of Oblivion. If you were so inclined, you could watch the trees blowing in the wind for awhile. Theres a bit of a delay in textures appearing, that might be down to the game being installed on a HDD though. I had the settings on either High or Epic, and my framerate was solid. As for sound, the effects are okay, the sounds your character makes is passable. However other NPC's are not great. For instance theres a bear in the training ground that is swinging their sword but theres like no sound at all. I can only presume it'll get better. The games soundtrack though, thats pretty damn good. The voice acting isn't too bad either. So all in all, I would recommend this game, as it only seems to be getting better. It's not finished obviously, so dont be expecting an epic 70 hour journey. But its fine for what it is and there seems to be plenty of things to do for the price tag.
