About
Wingspan - Relaxing Strategy Card Game About Birds for 1 to 5 players.
The officially licensed digital adaptation of Wingspan, the winner of the prestigious 2019 Kennerspiel des Jahres board game award.

You are bird enthusiasts—researchers, bird watchers, ornithologists, and collectors—seeking to discover and attract the best birds to your network of wildlife preserves. Each bird extends a chain of powerful combinations in one of your habitats. Each habitat focuses on a key aspect of the growth of your preserves.

In Wingspan up to 5 players compete to build up their nature preserves in a limited number of turns. Each beautiful bird that you add to your preserve makes you better at laying eggs, drawing cards, or gathering food. Many of the 170 unique birds have powers that echo real life: your hawks will hunt, your pelicans will fish, and your geese will form a flock.

I like the board game a lot. It is a bit complex and everyone builds their own little bird group on their table. Without having played lot's of board games turned into video games, the wingspan adaptation was done well and being able to play agains an AI opponent is convient when my group doesn't have time. The bird animations are cute and the controls feel intuitive. It's also very convenient not having to prepare on the table and move everything back into the box afterwards :)
The game is addictive and challenging. There are enough components to accomplish that it is easy to play five times in a row without getting bored. I wish there could be one more round as often we get our cards and supplies set up then the game is over. Also some of the background images are very nice but some are bad AI with poor details. With all of the creative artists out there, they could definitely have all backgrounds beautiful.
It tingles my tism
Excellent ambience and educational
I like a lot of elements and I like it in theory, but the turn flow and mechanics are really odd. Learning it's based on a board game makes a lot of sense. Recommended if you're really into birds.
Monster Couch took an already wonderful board game and transformed it into something PHENOMENAL. Beautifully drawn and animated bird cards and backgrounds, superb sound design and birdsong, and a masterful soundtrack elevate this game into an unforgettable digital experience. You know the music is good when you are playing it in your car and as background music around the house.
good
Wasn't expecting much from this game, but I've lost hours to playing this, it's so much fun. So much info and so much strategy at the same time, what I like in a game. Give it a try.
Sinnloses Rumgeklicke durch Menüs, mehr Arbeit als Spiel.
