Another Brick in The Mall

At first, this game seems like a fun management sim, but it gets old fast. It's too easy to turn profit so the puzzle aspect is limited, and it doesn't have that many options for refinement or decoration so you cant even really use it as a sandbox strip mall game. If you're looking for a few hours of fun, by all means give this a go. If you're looking for a game that you'll want to play for a few days at least, give this one a pass.

I bought this game way back in 2015, didn't play it much do to some bugs and a crappy computer but was going through my old games a realized that this game is still being updated in 2025. Developer obviously loves the game and keeps adding to it. for five dollars that seems like a steal.

Plays like early access in terms of features and depth of mechanics. The game offers nothing that other management sims don't offer and is extremely simple to crack. Profit is the only mechanic that matters. The most challenging mode adds in staff needs, but these don't affect your ability to turn a profit. There are no benefits to beautifying the mall or to efficiency. Customers have the same stats as staff (unnecassarily) but this barely factors into your ability to make a profit as well.. If you want a replayable, challenging management sim - maybe give this a miss.

A very simple linear mall builder. Essentially a slow journey to building your dream mall.

Great game. My first mall/shopping center map took roughly 50hrs to fully complete (based on achievements and the desired look I wanted for my mall). The only cons I had during my playthrough were some AI pathing/task management annoyances and when the game ran at highest speed the timesheets were not saving the set shift hours. Overall, fun game. Worth the price.
