About

Every journey in Windward is unique. Generate a world that is yours alone, filled with dynamic towns, unpredictable encounters, and a growing network of trade and conflict. As you sail further from your starting point, the challenges intensify, but so do the rewards. Pirates lurk in uncharted waters, and the AI, bound by the same rules as you, must explore and adapt just as you do.

Windward is designed for both solo and cooperative play. While you can sail alone, the experience truly comes alive with friends. Work together to expand your influence, take on dangerous foes, and build a thriving faction. As your reputation grows, friendly AI may even choose to follow and assist you in your adventures.

Your ship is your lifeline, and choosing the right one matters. Fast Schooners are ideal for exploration, while massive Ships of the Line bring unmatched firepower to battle. As towns prosper through trade and questing, they offer new upgrades and more powerful ships, allowing you to adapt to the ever-changing world.

How you shape your journey is entirely up to you. Fight off pirates, trade with growing towns, take on quests, or simply explore the open waters. Towns will respond to your actions, growing as you supply their needs. Build a fearsome reputation, and the AI will take notice—some will challenge you, while others will choose to stay out of your way.
Set sail and carve your path in a world that evolves with you.

https://youtu.be/EcGg1x9fpvw Quaint high seas play is well realized but the decade since release has winnowed away at the title due to a lack of QOL and other modern comforts.
Steam Deck Compatible! Select the game on your Library, Settings icon, Compatibility menu: Chose Proton Experimental or Proton 10 or higher.
Very simple, cozy game. The gameplay loop is addicting: every town has a quest board and trading needs, which link to others towns requests. Planning your travels around the links between various cities needs both create a sense of an alive world and leans towards a nice, emergent strategy depth. Combat doesn't have much depth and quickly became tedious for me. I can see myself playing this game a lot when in need of a relaxing time.

ITS AN above view game the detail is good it plays well on the steamdeck before you launch have to change the proton but after that everything runs great no issues game looks and plays great it could be a verified steam deck game its easy to get used to looks good plays good
Schade!
super hyggeligt!
Used to work great but won't run on Linux any more crashes to desktop. My internet was out and I was looking for something to play local and this game wll not launch.
Had windows vista era MSFT store Popcap vibes... much like every Popcap game that isn't PvZ & Feeding Frenzy, it was boring very quick.
игра может быть и интересная, но онлайн мертв почти всегда.
