From fearsome dragons to loyal pigs, tame a variety of mythical creatures to accompany you on your journey. Brave enough to unleash a Cerberus from the gates of hell? Build your legendary fleet and prove yourself a master of all creatures.
Your actions determine the path of a hero or anti-hero, affecting storylines and events in unexpected ways. With each decision, shape the Kingdom's view of you as a noble champion or a rogue with questionable morals. Your karma will decide the fate of the world around you.

First off: This game does NOT deserve the massive price increase it got ($3.99 USD -> $19.99 USD). Even when it was only a few dollars I would have a hard time recommending it. "Who Needs a Hero?" is a goofy, linear (in a literal sense) RPG. Yes/No options give you money/items/stats, combat is done via dice rolls. You gain followers and unlock a fake chat. It's okay at first but gets boring fast. It's also a GRINDFEST. The grinding was so bad, some achievements related to grinding stats actually got removed. Now, why did it get a price increase? There was a "big" final update to the game that added a idle game side mode where you can earn gems to buy equipment for use in the main mode. Other than that, there was also a new act and metaprogression added. This update took forever to reach the Steam version, having been on the mobile version roughly a year or so prior. These additions do not justify the price increase this game got, not. one. bit. Other than the removal of ads/microtransations that the usual free mobile game has, the Steam version also has an optional adult patch. This adult patch barely does anything (it adds a few pictures and makes everyone skimpy/naked) and was not even updated for the new content. People who can't purchase that, you're not missing much and can find better stuff to "goon" to elsewhere.
I used to have all the achievements until the update. I remember when the update first dropped I was upset because they added achievements that were INSANELY grindy. Luckily, they took some of those insanely grindy achievements out of the game (ex: getting to lvl 5000??) Some of the interactions are funny but this game is just a time waster. It's VERY grindy and repetitive, especially if you are an achievement hunter. There are enemies that only appear once, and if you lose the battle they won't appear again and you'll have to start a whole new save and grind all those levels to try again... If it were possible to re-encounter enemies in a single save I'd give the game a better rating. 2/10
Pretty fun game. lots to do and on the easier side 😂
this games combat is a joke, rng dice rolls that CONSTANTLY fail, ♥♥♥♥ upgrades, this game is a joke. walking simulator disguised as a "game" theres no gameplay. you click buttons. thats it. choices barley matter, i cant bring myself to finish the second half of the game. got my ass beat by the goddess of beauty and i doubt ill return. game runs fine on linux

I wish I could give it a mixed review. It's a fairly enjoyable game that's only held back by the repetition that is unable to be sped up/skipped. I also got stuck in an endless loop of negative followers and gold which was just unenjoyable after awhile. The whole reason I ended up in that situation is because I bought a cursed object that was supposed to allow me to see failure cards and only ended up showing me 1 out of who knows how many as I continued to fail time after time again even though I assumed i'd never fail again. I had a very frustrating time playing this game but I really want to like it. Just needs some tweaks imo.
Sobre Who Needs a Hero? Nota final: 6,8/10
