Wildermyth follows heroes over their whole careers, from their pitchfork days to their powerful primes, and on into old age and memory. It’s a party-based procedural storytelling RPG where tactical combat and story decisions will alter your world and reshape your cast of characters.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Please add all of the frogs you can. It helps with my friend's roleplay. This game is perfect for people who enjoy DnD but have a difficult time with the RP part or in general don't have a group to play with. The storylines are great and honestly I would love to see more added even if it's in a paid DLC. Love playing it with a group of friends.
The replayability of this game is insane! It's like the Sims but for monster slaying.

Wildermyth is a game for those who enjoy a good story. It's a game for those who get excited for every new "Once upon a time..." It's a game for those who read the words, "The End" and think, "Until the next one..." There are no sweeping set pieces, no mind-blowing graphics. The music is gentle, almost cozy; even the battle music feels like something you might listen to as you sit curled up with a good book. The campaign stories and poetic language are wonderful inspiration for world-builders. The highly-customizable characters are simple, rendered like paper dolls that show every weapon, every trinket, every transformation they come upon. Their stories are told like a comic -- one panel at a time. Sometimes, you get to choose which panel comes next, changing the course of one of your heroes' stories. Simple farmers take up arms against evil. They grow. They get stronger. They find treasures and companions to join them. They develop rivalries and romances. They have children who then follow in their footsteps. They grow old and retire. Sometimes they don't even make it that far, as the scars of battle catch up with them in a heroic last stand. When one story ends, another begins with a whole new company of aspiring heroes. The heroes you build in one campaign can show up as new friends in another, building their legacy across the Yonderings. Wildermyth isn't necessarily for everyone, but I don't regret a minute of the time I've put into it so far. Buy this game. Your story's waiting to begin...
Great for tabletop RPG lovers. The best thing this game does is you'll have a random character you don't care about join the party but by the end of a session you'll be wanting to bring them back on more campaigns.
A really great gem of a game. I played it soon after release and then sadly kind of forgot about it, although I really liked it. Picked it up again a short while ago and I am loving it. The artwork reminds me of old children books, but the stories are decidedly more mature. Othe people have already praised the great mix of tactical combat, artwork, music and story telling, and I have nothing more to add. It is a really, really great game. The best way to enjoy Wildermyth (in my opinion): pick a rainy or overcast day, make yourself cozy, brew your favourite cup of tea, maybe add some biscuits. And then start a new adventure. Take your time reading the texts, immersing yourself in the slowsly unfolding lives of your characters. Like reading folktales of old. And don't be shy to start playing on lower difficulties first. Wildermyth tactical combat is just complex enough to keep you interested, without being unforgiving. And always remember, that also a tragic death can be an important part of the tale you are weaving while playing.
It's ok. Not great or amazing, Not terrible either. The game progresses slow, We spent most of our time reading the story menus with less than 1/4 of our time in actual combat. I wish i could give it a mediocre rating but Steam only allows thumbs up/down. I purchased 4 copies so I could play with my boys. I'm glad I got it on sale. I'd be disappointed if i paid full price. It's turn based, so every one shares the exact same screen at all times. That might be fine with 2 players max, but the problem with multiplayer is every one reads at different speads and some players get distracted easily. I feel like other turn based games do a better job of keeping additional players vested. To me, this feels like this was original a 1-player game that was stretched into multiplayer by limiting turns without adding anything that feels truly unique to any specific character.
I've had this game for years, tried it a few times, didn't "get" it. Just started a playthrough with someone who understood the mechanics, and it's AMAZING. Love the dynamic storytelling, combat is quick and fun. If you get this, watch a tutorial or two on how the game plays out if you, like me, don't like not understanding core mechanics. But well worth the money!
Interesting idea. And I hope to see more riffing on it. But, oh my gosh, the game feels like 60% clicking though *incredibly* boring dialogue. I didn't get very far, but the early game play was also boring. (though the mystic interacting with the environment was a neat mechanic). -- But basically it was very simple combat combined with spiritless text that you have to speed through. And then the campaign map is ... also incredibly slow as you watch time slowly tick while tasks get done. Points for a some interesting ideas. But the execution wasn't there for me. Though if someone likes cozy/slow/beige games then they might enjoy.
This is a combination of storybook adventure, adding player input along the way, and a tabletop strategy game. Very creative way to follow adventurers for years of their lives, leveling up, engaging in relationships, as well as gaining various fiefdoms, with material income, to produce gear. It isn't an action game, but it is surely closer to "Roleplaying", than any other game on the market today.
I've had enough with the homosexual content in games. In Wildermyth, it's fine that you can choose to make characters homosexual if you prefer. I'm tired of the game itself -- in this case, side missions -- that foist it upon you. If this were the 90s or early 00s and an isolated game? Sure. Wouldn't care. Now, sick of it everywhere.
