Wildermyth follows heroes over their whole careers, from their pitchfork days to their powerful primes, and on into old age and memory. It’s a party-based procedural storytelling RPG where tactical combat and story decisions will alter your world and reshape your cast of characters.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Sep 14 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Relaxing. First thought was, oh no, not 3D, but the artwork is great. It is like playing a board version of RPG with cardboard figures, which is fun. Story arcs are not very deep, but it has an enormous amount of small stories that make the characters more lifely.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys strategy and emergent storytelling. The story campaigns are genuinely fun and well-written, and the creators have done a superb job making a system of random events and character generation that nevertheless tells coherent stories. The random events and character interactions bring a huge amount of life to the stories and the characters, and the ability to bring back your favorites across multiple campaigns is such a fun concept. It's well-executed here. Having only three character classes may initially seem limiting, but in reality they're much more broad archetypes than set classes. You can build your mystic as a blaster mage, sure, but you can also hand them a greataxe and mageplate, have their magic boost their melee damage, and call them a paladin. Your ranger can stick to shooting people, or you can build them as a dagger-wielding rogue who does double backstab damage, ignores armor, and goes back into stealth every time they get a kill. Your warrior can be a shield-tank knight, an inspiring archer, or a hyperaggressive raider barbarian who sets everything on fire. There's some beautiful versatility here. I've found the multiplayer to be reliably stable, and having someone experiencing the story alongside you makes it all the better. A friend and I always read the cutscene dialogue out loud, splitting the roles, and it enhances the experience. Also of note: You can specify which characters belong to which player, so in battles you'll only be prompted to control your own characters and those marked as shared. Very convenient. (Anyone can change those specifications at any time, so it's always a positive.) Anyway, enough seriousness. All hail Pamyvien Grave, the greatest warrior in 10 yonderings!
Super fun concept, and the writing is hilarious. If you like TTRPGs, you'll probably like Wildermyth
Genuinely amazing game that scratches the itch I've had for ages (only Miitopia and Sims have really filled the same niche as this for me). I can actually play a game featuring my own characters, with a story I can't predict thanks to the wonderful event-based storytelling. Mods make customization even better, and the game's general aesthetic is beautiful. I wish more games like this would exist!
For me tomuch of the same
Great Dungeon Crawler and XCOM like game. I really enjoyed the play through of all 5 different campaigns.
Can't believe I haven't reviewed this game. 80+ hours and this game is awesome. Replaying isn't an issue because you can keep your heroes from past stories and use them again, increasing their levels further. Each choice has a consequence and is important. I only put this game down because after several several play throughs, you start to remember how you choices will impact the end game. I hope they come out with a 2 or an expansion to increase the randomness of the choices. Highly recommend and I'd pay full price for this!
