Wilderless delivers an adorable art style in a small download. The music is wonderful and I hope development continues because the game has enough foundations to become a great adventure game if a few small features are added and refined.
Extremely early access the procedural generation is almost near perfect but everything else is a mess. The UI is absolute garbage and clunky and makes no sense with certain things. The creatures don't attack you or interact with the environment around them, you can ride them or turn into them and also they follow you around like puppies which sounds cute until you're surrounded by 20 tree giants and dragons. The dungeons are just awful you collect 3 things and open a couple of doors just to find nothing but a dead end or a creature you can't interact with. There are no npcs, no story, no towns or cities just trees and grass and the occasional sharp spiky mountains and half the maps are under water. This does have potential and that's all you can hope for right now because this is a pretty bare bones game right now.
Although I wasn't planning on buying this game until it became more developed, I saw the creator saying how every purchase funded their rent and food. It inspired me to buy it, and upon playing it for a bit, I have to say it is absolutely beautiful. It is a game where you can turn your thoughts off and venture around aimlessly through a gorgeous landscape without worry, shapeshifting into a variety of animals and interacting with the environment around you, whether it be running, flying, or swimming. I was not expecting the game to be as detailed as it was, and every detail blew me away. I hope for the developer to continue with their journey on creating this game and adding more things. Although some controls - like the hawk flight - are somewhat wanky, everything else has me excited for future progression. I do wish there were more animations for the animals, such as sitting or lying down, or for the flying animals for there to be diving animations. But this game is gorgeous and well made for someone who made it independently. Keep up the incredible work, and thank you for releasing the game of my childhood.
I really love this game, I usually play on Android to chill on the go, but I love the Steam version too, congrats to the developer! Its amazing world and beautiful game.
its kinda fun. you can make a world of your liking
Everyday im stressed, so i have almost no mental capacity for fabular games, even easy ones. this game is great. I'm just wandering around. I create my own stories in my head about places i visit. Other species are curious about me, but let me live in peace. Thanks a lot for that game.
I really like it. It's just a really nice and cozy game.
it has some potential of a relaxing nice little game but it need some work. The mechanics is a little bit poor and to sensitive, it wouldnt hurt to have a little story and some few missions but right now its not ready to play and pay for
I see the vision and I'm here for it. Obviously has jank generation in places, but it has more features than I expected and is great for artists to reference backgrounds and scenery from ^^
A fantastic game. I played the author's first few works on my phone a long time ago. At that time, they were considered excellent works, with a small volume and rough in some places. However, it can be seen that the author really loves these games and put a lot of effort into them. This game is also the same I hope the author can continue to update and add plot elements, and I also hope that the plot can have some connections with the previous work
