Very decent little tower defense game that goes for old timey CGA-styled graphics and sound, to my delight. There are two currencies, one to buy towers for the map, and another for unlocks and upgrades. Only has one map, but the difficulty is a long ramp upward, and there are enough different strategies to keep it fresh for 5-10 hours. A budget game done right!

You have to help King Theodore from Whitevale. King Balmek wants to destroy Whitevale. This is a Tower defense game with small pixel-art. All battles take place on the same map. You have to play this game multiple times to unlock new defenses, new tools and new blessings. The game is played in years. Each turn is a year. Before the game begins you choose your blessings. You can unlock 8 blessings. At the beginning of the game the enemy only comes from one direction. On the next turns they appear from multiple directions. After each wave you get resource points. Those points can be used to upgrade your towers. You get those points each year you have survived. You can build a mine driller to drill for more resource points. There are only 3 different kind of towers in this game. The enemy will try to attack your castle. Your castle has hp if it goes to zero, you lost the game. You can update the power or the range of the towers. The game lets you earn crowns. Those crowns are used to unlock more defenses or blessings for your next playthrough. You can start a year early so they will earn more crowns. The more years you survive, the more crowns you get. The games has 3 difficulty modes. You can speed up the game. The graphics are nice. I like the pixel-art style. The game can get repetitive, because there is only one map and you have to play it over and over to unlock better defenses. The Dev lowered the base price, which is a good thing. In my opinion the price is still a little bit too steep. I would recommend this game, if you want a smaller tower defense game. The game is easy to learn. Disclaimer: The copy of the game was provided by the publisher, however, it did not influence my opinion in any way.
Cons: 1. Only one map 2. Grind until you win. Or quit 3. Grind. Nothing except the grind 4. Grind Pros: 1. Looks good 2. Sounds good Gameplay is a looped endless mode. When you die, you can do upgrades and buy towers. In game menu. So, the first two-five times you have to try to beat the game with only one tower type. Without any chance. Could be funny with map generator or something. Gameplay is, kind of, innovative. But it does not work this way. It is terrible and repetative. And you have to play a lot before you can reach the actual gameplay by opening towers and powerups. Not worth a money and, the more important, not worth your time.
Charming tower defender that isn't quite worth the purchase price If it piqued your interest enough to look this far then yes, it's a servicable enough tower defense. I wish I could recommend it full heartedly but it's just a little lacking in features. The pros are that the game functions well, has a charming aesthetic and game logic to it, and a fair balance of tech trees, early, mid and late game options. The problem is that the game starts too slow and finishes too quickly. There are only four tower types and three of them are unlocked through subsequent gameplays. You could (and I did) easily unlock the hardest difficulty without having access to the final tower type. All difficulties are the same map (with some randomness thrown in but not enough to be meaningful in gameplay) with the same amount of waves and the same order/type of enemies. In short? If the game was fleshed out a bit more it woudl be an easy recommendation. As is, you should probably wait until it hits a price point that you think will reflect a good value for 1.5-2.5 hours of gameplay. Hope the dev doesn't feel despirited by this reveiw if they read it. Will be giving a positive rating, keep up the good work, you just need to flesh out the basic concepts of your game a bit more now that you have WONDERFUL and solid mechanics in place.
If your looking for a good ol' tower defense game, but you want it to be all retro, then this is the game for you. Now at the time writing this, I just got it when it came out. Game-play is fun! I like how the story is set up too. If you like strategic planning and a good challenge, this is the game for you.
Only about an hour in, but looks promising. Only one map - however various tower positioning options and upgrades to keep you interested. Will update review later.
Fun little game! The graphics and story are charming, and there's plenty of strategies to try out. Great way to burn some time!
Only one level, which plays until you lose (or beat it from grinding). Game Forces you to grind the same level over and over for upgrades, limited build space and limited tower build options. I often run out of space and am unable to spend my money.
