Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

White Cat Knight is a compact 2D action platformer that mixes traditional jumping and combat with light RPG progression, exploration, and a fantasy mystery. Dumpling Game Studio serves as both developer and publisher, and the game has a noticeably straightforward design philosophy. Rather than attempting to overwhelm the player with complicated systems, it builds its adventure around familiar platforming fundamentals and gives them additional purpose through character progression, hidden locations, companions, and a story about discovering what lies beneath an apparently peaceful town. The story follows a fallen knight searching for a new purpose in life. Her travels eventually connect her to Harstad, a small town experiencing a series of unexplained incidents. Evidence points toward long-forgotten underground passages, prompting an expedition into the depths to discover what is really happening. This premise provides a natural reason for the adventure to move from relatively inviting forests and populated areas into increasingly mysterious subterranean environments. The gradual descent beneath the surface is especially effective because it creates the feeling that the player is physically uncovering parts of the world that were deliberately forgotten. Gameplay follows the recognizable rhythm of a classic side-scrolling platform adventure. Traversal involves navigating forests, towns, wells, ancient pathways, and underground areas while dealing with environmental challenges and hostile creatures. The platforming is accessible rather than excessively technical, making the experience suitable for players who enjoy traditional 2D adventures without necessarily wanting the relentless precision demanded by harder examples of the genre. Exploration also matters because the environments contain secrets and discoveries that reinforce the central theme of investigating Harstad's buried history. Combat adds another layer to the platforming. The protagonist is not restricted to a single basic attack, with different techniques allowing encounters to become more flexible as the adventure progresses. New skills can be unlocked, additional combat techniques learned, and attributes such as strength and speed improved. This progression provides a satisfying sense of development because the knight becomes noticeably more capable as increasingly dangerous areas are reached. The RPG mechanics are intentionally lightweight, however, so players expecting elaborate statistics, equipment optimization, or extensive character builds should approach it primarily as an action platformer with progression elements rather than a full-scale role-playing game. Companions are another worthwhile part of the experience. Friendly characters can participate in confrontations against stronger enemies, helping the journey feel less solitary while supporting the adventurous tone of the story. Their presence fits particularly well with the premise of an expedition into unknown underground territory. Instead of portraying the heroine as an unstoppable warrior who solves every problem alone, the adventure emphasizes cooperation and companionship at important moments. The visual presentation complements the accessible gameplay particularly well. Cute character designs, colorful environments, anime-influenced imagery, and a generally cheerful appearance contrast nicely with the darker idea of ancient tunnels, conspiracies, and dangers lurking beneath the town. That contrast gives the game some personality. It can present an inviting forest or charming character one moment and then direct the player farther underground toward places carrying a more mysterious atmosphere. The graphics favor clarity and charm rather than visual extravagance, which is appropriate for this style of 2D adventure. Its biggest weakness is that many individual mechanics are intentionally conventional. Experienced platforming fans will recognize much of the basic structure immediately, and players searching for revolutionary movement mechanics or exceptionally intricate combat may find the systems fairly modest. The mystery and progression help give the journey its own identity, but the underlying formula remains strongly connected to classic 2D platform games. This simplicity can nevertheless be an advantage for players who prefer something immediately understandable and relaxing rather than a mechanically exhausting experience. Steam Deck compatibility deserves some caution. The Steam information available for the game does not provide a clear official Steam Deck Verified or Playable rating, so it would be inappropriate to describe it as officially certified. Its 2D platforming format and controller-oriented style appear conceptually well suited to handheld play, but prospective Steam Deck players should treat compatibility as unverified rather than guaranteed. The lack of an official rating means that interface behavior, controls, performance, or other Proton-related considerations may require individual testing. Overall, this is an appealing small-scale adventure whose strongest qualities come from the combination of approachable platforming, gradual character improvement, underground exploration, companionship, and a simple but effective mystery. The journey from brighter surface locations into forgotten subterranean passages gives the campaign a satisfying sense of progression, while the heroine's search for purpose provides a personal reason to continue pushing deeper into the unknown. It does not radically transform the 2D action-platformer formula, but it uses familiar ingredients competently and surrounds them with enough charm and mystery to establish an identity of its own. For players interested in cute fantasy adventures with accessible combat, exploration, light RPG mechanics, and an uncomplicated progression loop, it is an easy game to appreciate. Rating: 8/10
