Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 3 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly I don't know what kind of person, aside a 5 years old kid, would like this game. The story is interesting and the characters are cute, specially the gingerbread man who calls me daddy, but for that price the mechanics are too basic. Luckily I bought it on discount, otherwise I would be annoyed.
It is okay for an RPG-maker game. I was surprised by the length of the game (61 hours for 2 playthroughs and 100% achievements) The areas are super detailed and are wildly different from each other. (I am a huge fan of the candyland map!) The artwork and sprites are definitely the biggest strengths of the game. I enjoyed the story but absolutely hated the protagonist (the companions are ok). Melrose behaves like a bi-polar Mary Sue... it's the best way I can describe it. The dialogues are boring and generally not very well written.

I enjoed this one a while back. Was nice to replay it as summoner.
Do you like RPGs that have not learned anything from game design in the last 30 years? Then this is the game for you! Here is what you will experience -Characters that act like they are in high school, though the game says it is a college -Poison that lasts after battle (look even FFX knew not to do that anymore). -Constant Respawn of enemies when you change maps. -Being lost all the time due to the HUGE mazes that span multiple maps -Going from fighting dragonflies I can one shot that give 8 EXP each to, in the next area, fighting bats that I can't one shot that give 4 EXP each. -Enemies that can stun you! When you are by yourself. -Skill points handed out slower than Scrooge hands out money. -No increase to stats at all on level up except HP. -Chests that can only be opened from one side. But look the same in all directions so you'll constantly be seeing this chest can only be opened from the other side. Look I know many RPGs did this stuff in the early 90s, but its not the 90s anymore. We have learned a lot on game design and what makes them fun since then. There is a reason in the 90s many said RPGs were too tough to get into. Let's learn some lessons and apply then, instead of repeating a past that honestly, we only put up with as we were bored and had no other games then, and it is honestly not that fun in the end.
RPG Maker strikes again! This is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel JRPG ripoffs spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club weeaboo fan fiction. Whisper of a Rose is an interesting entry in the genre of completely craphouse RPG Maker games in that the developer used some MSPaint tier custom artwork instead of just asset flipping the default RPG Maker assets. This is a lot like going to a fancy restaurant and buying the gourmet hamburger, and being pleasantly surprised when they serve you a Big Mac from McDonalds but they changed the bun to one they made themselves. The storyline is still a completely cringey high school anime club fan fiction that should be avoided at all costs. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger. Leave this terrible fan fiction in the shovelware bundles where it belongs. $14.50 is an price for a cringey RPG Maker fan fiction, considering you can get games like Frostpunk and Bioshock Infinite for the same price.
Give me back my 37h Lots of enemy encounters that just extend game to the point that you ask yourself "why"
Unplayable on my machine. UPDATE: The problem came from my NVidia video card. You need to disable 3D DSR settings in order to play the game.
