"Well..." is a very difficult first-person platformer. Start off by helping an old woman get a ring that she "dropped" down the well, what happens after, you'll never expect. Disclaimer: If you're experienced at CS climb, this game may be easy for you.

If you're a casual like me, you're the wrong audience for this game. Steven goes to the well to fetch some water. When an old lady there tells him that she dropped her ring into the well, Steven jumps in without giving it a second thought. Steven should fling the woman into the well, in my opinion. This game will either be the best challenging game you’ve ever played or you’ll wonder where’s the fun. You actually start the game from the top. Your job is to go to the bottom, grab the ring and climb back up. I repeat: grab the damn ring before starting the climb back up. Don’t be like me and forget it while almost at the top! Your progress and health take a hit when you fall. There are no checkpoints, so if you make the wrong move, you'll have to restart the entire stage unless a ledge hanging out stops you. If you fall from sufficient height, you will receive the highly uplifting message "you died and you suck." Because of the extremely tiny platforms and the inability to see your feet, this can happen quickly. Even though it sounds absurd, it can be difficult to tell whether you are standing on the edge of a platform or have already crossed it while you're a floating crosshair without any mass. Even your shadow, which would indicate to you when you are above a solid ground, is absent. But the main issue is that the game can’t be played if you’re not familiar with air-strafing and crouch jumping. I had the impression that I would be playing a precision-based single-player game, not a multiplayer first-person shooter training mod. I gave the game a chance by completing the first stage, but when the rat gave me a gun and told me to do the ol’ 180, I lost It in the second stage. To be completely honest, you can play any stage of the game by using the "level select" option. Hardly anything changes for the better. The third stage apparently abandons precision in favor of a maze, which everyone enjoys. Once you've found the exit, you enter an area above the maze where one incorrect move will send you back to the maze. And the final level is identical to the first, but it now comes with a twist.
Well... I have been following game development on this since day one, participated in multiple playtests and still have never beat the first level :) So if you're looking for a challenge, let me know how the rest of the game is XD But seriously, if you want to support an up and coming indie game dev, I highly recommend you give Well... a shot. The level design is extremely creative and has a really solid foundation that makes Well... a great introduction to platformers no matter your experience level
steven is hot
I usually either hate foddians or absolutely love them, and this review is positive, so make of that what you will.
This game is nuts! I had a ton of fun playing it and only had to replace 2 keyboards and 1 monitor... For less than a price of a sub sandwich, you can support a really talented up-and-coming developer and have hours of fun! That's a bargain!
AS OF PATCH 1.1.1 A solid game. 7/10. Good world building, use of assets, and plot. The language used by the characters is a little on the less intuitive side, making it easy to read and listen to. The world is challenging, and with prior knowledge of movement based games, you will excel at this game. With an inspiration of CS:GO movement, it is easy to catch onto the techniques, but hard to master them. This game is not for beginners to movement games. There are complicated jumps, movement techniques that require prior knowledge, and the ability to adapt. With that said, here's the pros and cons list: Pros - Fun and rewarding movement mechanics. Enjoyable reactions and statements from characters. Challenging, if you are skilled with this movement it will be on the easier side. Lore found throughout the map, and follows a strict story. Music is intense when it needs to be, and mellow when it's slowed down. Graphics are nice, especially when you take the time to soak them in. Lighting is good and guides you through the level well. Cons - Short story, the lore pieces don't explain the absolute most. For fast players, the voice over doesn't keep up with where you are in the level. For new players, it is tough. Not beginner friendly. Tutorial slightly under-explains movement, but then has you do it which is nice. I had a good time streaming this game to both my community and the developers (sorry can't be 100% nice jeff <3) but I have a background of movement games, and this was right down my alley. If you have ever played any Source based KZ(climb) or BHOP, this is a game for you. But don't say I didn't warn you, it is a rage game :).
JEFFFF this is actually so good for your first game. I'm going to be honest.. I thought maybe it would suck LOL, but nah man i'm actually impressed big time! Good stuff jeff, keep grinding!
Great game i suck at parkour and rage quit fast but this is nice and fun
FANTASTIC! This is my first 'Jumper' themed game I've ever played. The tutorial is more than all you need to beat this game. The bonus levels are a bit more difficult to complete but leads to more mastery of the game. The music is great, the voice overs will have you smiling as you fall and fall and fall. I've recommended this game to already so many of my friends and will continue to do so.
