From the research base camp you’ll need to figure out a way to get to the source of the distress flare. Once you’re through the frozen Antarctic wastes, you'll find yourselves separated inside a medieval castle, facing puzzles, secrets, and dangers! You and your partner start out with nothing but your wits and a walkie-talkie each. Observation, smart communication and teamwork will be the only way to escape from the sinister Castle Rock.

My wife and I love this series but this is just not a very good entry. Bugs are pretty common throughout the series but they're especially prevalent in this one. This coupled with some really poor puzzle design, sometimes where only one person is actually doing anything meaningful or thoughtful while the other player is just twiddling their thumbs. Other puzzles just seem so random and nonsensical. Difficulty of puzzles is completely all over the place as well. I'd look to another entry in the series. If you're dying for a similar experience after you finish the rest you could come back to this.
Big fan of the franchise, this one is easily the worst. Some of the puzzles are poorly presented and were not fun to solve. If you like the rest of the games and want more, sure play this one. But if for some reason I was asked to remove an entry in this series, it would be this one with no hesitation.

A brilliant series of (currently) five co-op games. Great fun, lots of laughing, yelling, insulting each other, and chaotic communication. Everything wrapped in an amazing wintery, mysterious, theatrical, magical atmosphere. All of the games can be very enjoyably completed twice — from two different perspectives — which is also encouraged by the achievements. Every next entry in the series gets better and better — highly recommend the entire series. The third game is already a bit longer (around 8 hours to complete). The puzzles are interesting and more complex, although some of them are a bit tedious and unintuitive. Still a fantastic game.
