Itsu x Jey 4 life.
weeeell i tried .......ima old gamer as much as i liked the upbeat feel to the game i fell left out and was convinced that old people should not have anything to do with this game.......LOL but i enjoyed the fresh and quirky approach to attract people that need to ingest themselves with alternative ideas for the actual game plots good game to those that get this game and ima sure it will attract those who resonate with it..........hey you dont know this if you dont try it....good vibes and good luck :D
I think the game is good overall!!

It's something more like a short TV series thingy than a game so keep it in mind!
In my opinion the story is good. I think it could be paced a little bit better in some moments though. I love all the songs, and their visuals in game like damnnn... The only thing I did not like is the last episode, I feel like it's kind of rushed and the last song's "gameplay" is... I dont even know what to call it
Kanoa Ranks: 7/10 100% Achievement: 10 Hours If you’re a fan of visual novels, queer stories, or indie music culture, this one’s worth your time — especially on sale. WARNING: We Are OFK is less of a game and more of a vaguely interactive episodic cartoon?? You jump between characters navigating creative careers in LA, and the only real input you have is choosing dialogue options over text. Those choices have essentially zero impact on the story until the very last chapter, where they matter slightly for achievements. One path, no branching but it’s a nice enough story that it mostly doesn’t bother you. The texting feature is genuinely charming and feels very human. Every character has a distinct voice, and the writing overall is funny, witty, and current. Voice acting is strong across the board. I kept wondering if this is based on a true story, like the developers made a game about how they actually formed their band? It has that energy. As a young queer songwriter/producer, I related to Luca a lot. Inspiring and oddly relatable. The representation is incredible and handled naturally, and the accessibility settings are thorough. The art style is beautiful, it reminds me of Agent A. But the real highlights are the songs and music videos. Those alone make it worth experiencing. Those are some of the only interactable/playable sections of the game. Fair warning on pacing though: this is the opposite of The Wolf Among Us or Dispatch, where episode one grabs you by the throat. Here, each episode kind of started slow and ended strong. Episode one barely hooked me until the very end, and I had to force myself into episode two but I’m glad I did. It picks up. The last episode brings all the characters together nicely. Achievements are plentiful and easy to get. The voicemail ones are a little tedious, just focus on gearing your responses towards Carter, Jey, or Luca. Definitely worth it on sale if you enjoy visual novels, queer music stories, or just want to support developers putting out genuinely great art and music! Debug 4 life <33
Is a great game if you just want to relax and watch a story. I like how they are all imperfect. They are young adults making mistakes and learning from them as they try to enjoy this crazy adventure that is life. I loved every second of it!
i always describe we are ofk to my friends as more akin to watching episodes than playing a visual novel, which isnt a bad thing imo. its like you're watching a show and occasionally get to pick dialogue options. it isnt a choices matter story, you're just along for the ride. you do get to play a fun lil minigame(?) at the end of each episode along to that episode's vocal track, tho :) i originally played as it was being released, and really enjoyed it. the music is wonderful, i still listen to the vocal tracks regularly (my favourite is footsteps!). this game actually came out at a time i was struggling, and carter's story in particular really spoke to me in a way i cant articulate. it's probably cheesy of me to say, but im glad it was there when i needed it. this review is extremely late, but i am delighted to see that ofk is still releasing music. it was something that i followed before it released and happily anticipated, and was very glad to experience once it released. p.s. i love debug
This is more of an artistic experience than it is a game, but that by no means is a negative. The characters are likable and often quite relatable with how they behave and develop. The sound design and music are clearly a major focus, and they hit this one out of the park. If you're looking for something that isn't super intense, this is a great option. I'd love to see another experience from these devs in the future, whatever form that may take!
