Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Aug 11 → 14.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Way of the Hunter 2 delivers a deeper, more dynamic hunting experience built around living ecosystems, advanced animal behavior, and three distinct hunting regions. Track game across a vast North American wilderness, face dangerous wildlife in an African hunting ground, and explore a Rocky Mountain region centered around the Hearth & Hunt Headquarters lodge — an expandable hunting hub with additional rooms, display space, and trophy mounts for showcasing trophies from current and future hunting grounds.
Animals behave and react naturally to their surroundings, rewarding players who carefully study tracks, movement patterns, and habitat conditions before taking a shot. Players can also venture out freely to explore the wilderness, enjoy spontaneous hunts, and experience the beauty of nature alongside their dog companion. Expanding on the foundation of the original game, the sequel sharpens realism, accessibility, and player freedom while preserving the deliberate pacing and authenticity that define the series.
Experience the thrill of the hunt across diverse wilderness regions in North America and Africa. Track and display big game like Moose, Elk, Bears, Bison, and a wide range of smaller animals and birds. In Africa, face some of the world’s most dangerous wildlife, including massive hippos, thunderous buffalo, prowling lions, and stealthy Nile crocodiles.
Way of the Hunter 2's goal is to become the most authentic and advanced virtual hunting experience. Building upon our previous experience, invaluable player feedback, and countless iterations this game will start as the foundation for many updates, expansions and a true long-term support.
As an adaptable hunter building your reputation, you’ll take on unique challenges across three breathtaking hunting regions after being recruited by Hearth & Hunt to help local residents, work alongside your new Hearth & Hunt colleagues, and preserve regional ecosystems. In New Laurentia, investigate the unusual behavior of the local moose population with the help of a skilled dog trainer and a former warden.
In Kilimaya Reserve, support a renowned safari guide, train with an eccentric archery expert, and track down a legendary retired huntress while helping maintain the balance of the ecosystem. Meanwhile, deep in the Rocky Mountains, a colorful elderly Irish carpenter is more than happy to turn your hard-earned cash into lodge expansions with extra rooms and trophy displays—usually while distracting you with stories about mushrooms and local folklore.
Hunting Dog: A loyal companion that detects animal signs, follows blood trails, and tracks wounded game. With regular exercise and training, it grows more skilled over time.
Shot review: Our improved bullet camera lets you break down every shot with precision. Analyze trajectory, speed, angle, placement, and more — learn how to make the perfect shot, every time.
High-Tech Equipment: Advanced gear sharpens your instincts, delivering a more immersive hunting experience with thermal night vision and enhanced reserve monitoring to manage habitats.
Hearth & Hunt Headquarters: A smaller Rocky Mountain hub map where you can unwind or explore the surrounding wilderness. Expand the Lodge as your hunting adventures continue, then fill it with your favorite trophies from across all regions.

great graphics and just an amazing game
Crashes all the time...

jó
nit as good as call of the wild but very good game
English and Portuguese! --- ### Review: A step in the right direction, but with some technical caveats **Context and Playstyle** I played the first game of the franchise quite a lot (including all DLCs), logging around 50 to 60 hours — which for me, in this genre, is a considerable amount of time. I currently have 8 hours in this second game and I can definitely say that it is graphically much more beautiful. An important point about my experience: I don't play this with a "real-life hunter" mindset. I know many people look for an extreme level of hyper-realism, but for my playstyle, the game doesn't need to reach that level to be highly enjoyable. **Pros & Quality of Life** * **Herd Management & Progression:** The first game already focused on animal management, but now this mechanic and its importance are much clearer to beginner players. Focusing on proper management instead of just shooting anything that moves is an excellent approach. The addition of levels is nice, but the progression feels a bit slow (I am at level 10 and have only received 2 or 3 skill points to spend so far). * **Fluid Interaction:** Walking around the map without needing to repeatedly press "E" to investigate the environment is VERY GOOD. Just getting close and having the game automatically identify the track improves the pace of exploration immensely. * **The Hunting Dog:** By far the best addition to the game. Hitting an animal and just sending the dog to follow the blood trail is practical and immersive. **Cons & Room for Improvement** * **Performance:** Just like the first title, this one suffers from optimization issues. My rig is solid (Ryzen 7 5700X3D, RTX 3070, 32GB 3200MHz, running on an M.2 SSD), and the game should easily run at least at a steady 80 FPS maxed out in 1080p. The framerate drops below 30 at times and then climbs back to around 50/60. It doesn't make me stop playing, but the performance definitely needs to be addressed. * **Expanding Dog Commands:** The dog isn't just for tracking blood; there is an option for it to locate general tracks. However, this mechanic would be MUCH better and far more useful if the player could specify the type of track for the dog to follow (like focusing exclusively on large, medium, or small animals). * **Vehicles & Camera:** The pickup truck in the game is absurdly slow, feeling slower than a horse carriage in RDR2. Furthermore, removing the first-person camera while driving—something that was already present in the first game—feels like developer laziness.
so i have played 99% of all hunting games on steam and xbxox and this is the most adictive and fun one yet i would recommend it to anyone its great fun. and im able to get 90+ fps so its a bonus
mycket trevligt spel
I've been enjoying it so I feel I can recommend it already despite being in EA. It has issues and lacks optimisation but the developers are making progress on these and filling out content.
