Way of Redemption

Je vais commencer par les points négatifs. Y'a encore beaucoup de travail sur la version pc. Les mouvements des joueurs ps4 se font au dernier moment, ce qui donne une très mauvaise lisibilité au jeu. En 2v2 impossible de tomber sur des joueurs pc et impossible de tag avec un ami. Le classement de ligue est-t-il crossplatforme? Ma première place au classement 2v2 me fais douter :/ C'est vraiment pauvre graphiquement, j'ai régulièrement des bugs de son qui m'oblige à redémarrer le jeu. J'ai du désactiver les vibrations de ma manette xbox one pour cause de vibration incessante et beaucoup trop forte. Ca serait sympa de connaitre le coup des items qu'on peut acheter. Le seul gros point positif étant son gameplay qui me ferait presque oublier tout ce que je viens de dire. 15€ la beta, ca vaut pas le coup mais après quelques maj qui sait...

Way of redemption was handed to me as a Steam Curator for review purposes. I must be honest at first glance I thought; no way am I going to be impressed with this one and it will almost certainly end up on my not recommended list. How wrong I was! This is a real gem, a rare treat and a surprisingly adept title with lots of depth. I try to approach all game reviews from a neutral perspective, I concede this is not always possible and on this occasion I was expecting very little. Initially my unwarranted preconceived opinions were rewarded; when I first loaded the game I was presented with a very dated, unpolished and tired looking UI. The graphics looked equally dated and the first comment that I wrote down on my review notes was…the music sounds OK. I was so convinced that this game was a wreck I immediately started looking for positives; because that is the kind of nice guy I am. I thought I am going to shred this title to bits with negativity and I want to soften that for the devs by pointing out some bits they got right. Well that is not how the review ended. == GOOD == Way of Redemption is a classic old school game in the sense that the gameplay and content is where the meat of this sandwich resides. The graphics and UI are dated, very much so and somewhat to the detriment of the game which is a massive shame because this really is a quality title. Way of Redemption is like a cross between Football and Tennis merged with Speedball 2 and Mortal Combat. You have a court with two sides and a net, of sorts. You play either singles or doubles and you have a small selection of characters, each with their own unique style, abilities and traits, to choose from. You start each game with a health bar and by hitting the goal behind your opponent you score points. These points reduce the health bar of your opponent…in truth it’s not really a health bar at all. You can play using a Keyboard & mouse or like me using a controller, which I think will be the better option, but that is bespoke. You can play online, offline and local co-op. It is cross platform compatible and in each of the matches that I played online, 3 games unbeaten, I was playing with and against PS4 players. The connection was faultless, I found somebody to play each time I looked and I won all three of the games that I played :-) Now although I am a total noob and I was honestly button bashing much of time this game can be and genuinely is very skilful. I quickly picked up a few combo’s thanks to muscle memory and I used these limited skills to full effect to win my three matches but there are so many combo’s, Talents, individual skillsets & abilities available that just like Mortal Kombat; if you take the time and master them you will not only find your perfect character but you will become the most powerful Way of Redemption player in the world! I am not kidding there really are a lot of combinations available. In game you can also utilise power-up’s for offence and defence. Somehow you can place a block across your goal and your opponents cannot score, in-fact as I did you can rebound off of this defensive shield and score in your own goal…repeatedly! Some special power-ups slow your opponents or even go as far as to entrap them requiring a button combo before you will be released. Meteors drop in from the sky, wolves will give you an arctic chill and much, much more! == BAD == I started my review by identifying that the menu music was good, that’s almost always a bad sign for one of my reviews, but I have to say the in-game audio is not so impressive. The graphics are dated and don’t do enough to show off the brilliant animated and colour explosive features that this game has to offer. I felt the gameplay area was too small and I wasn’t a fan of the perspective angle. I struggled at first to know where the ball was in relation to my character and although this got easier with each match it did continue to cost me points on occasion. There are only a few characters available, but each has their own abilities, skills, positives and negatives and having played some 10 or so different matches they all seem to be equally balanced. Most of my games were against the UI, which I must say when set to hard, one below the hardest setting; the UI beat me in every single round so there is great scope for improvement on my part. Each character can be upgraded and there are a plethora of chests to unlock with your awarded skill-points. All of this is included with the game, no micro-transactions required and I think the cost of each item is achievable in terms of gameplay hours required to earn. There is something called Voucher Codes, now I don’t know what this is and there is a lack of information available to gain clarity on everything at first glance. The game initially starts by forcing you over to YouTube to watch the tutorials, this is seemingly a necessity and not an option, you can revisit these at any time but being forced to watch multiple tutorial videos the first time you load the game is annoying and to be honest there was so much to learn and remember I quickly just switched off to ensure I remembered the first 10 things I had just learnt.   == Summary == This is a high-tempo & highly skilled sports combat game with huge amounts of content and customisation. It is cross-platform compatible and online matches worked seamlessly for me in single and double player games; although there is a small delay when finding a match. Graphically it is not amazing, and the UI is rather dated but gameplay is absolutely top notch. This is effectively a new sport and a very good one that could easily evolve into something huge. It’s colourful, fast paced and technical. In two of my online matches one team initially dominated but eventually were overthrown by their opponent (me) which strongly suggests that this is indeed a skill based game and not reliant on unlocks, character or power-ups. I don’t know if I mentioned it but I am currently unbeaten online ;-P and as a result I am currently ranked in the top 100 players in the world, that’s right you are hearing from a real-life pro! What this really means is that the player base is small at this time and most of the players you meat online will not be super skilled. It is possible that the game is skill matching, I am not too sure if this is the case but to be honest who wants to play a real pro and have their butt kicked right from the start? It has huge future potential and I for one hope that this review encourages more players, especially those from the PC arena, to go and take a look at this title. Whether or not this title is your cup of tea I think you will easily be won over by the gameplay and content supplied.

Jogo de queimada com gráficos bem anos 2000, personagens dignos de qualquer RPG e jogabilidade gostosinha. Vale a pena, super divertido.

[/quote] 🚮 O jogo não deveria estar a venda. Não é possível acessar os tutoriais pois os servidores do jogo foram desativados (q?). Também não é mais possível jogar online (ok) O jogo suporta até 4 players em split screen. Porém suporta apenas controles originais XBOX. Recomendo apenas se tiver paciência de caçar um tutorial e tenha 4 controles XBOX original...

Das Spiel ist ein PvP Game das eigentlich richtig Laune macht, jedoch zu wenig Spieler hat. 8/10 -

Классная игра!

Kurzweilig, schnell, lustig und mein Ehrgeiz wird gepackt. Ich mag Spiele, wo die Spielmechanik an sich einfach ist, das Spiel zu meistern aber gar nicht so leicht. Macht echt Laune! Ich freu mich auf mehr Arenen und Helden!
