https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2108925227

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2108925187

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2108925139

The game brings cool graphics and a hard to get used gameplay, not in the bad way. The game is fun, catching and really challenging! I recommend everyone to give it a try!
Crazy game control method but worth persevering at to learn. Difficult at times but not frustratingly so once you get the hang of the frankly madwhack mechanics. Lots of difficult to master techniques and super hard endgame style challenges for those who like that kind of thing. Runs well with no bugs that I'm aware of and sports a massive 80 levels to complete. Its got that kind of playstyle where you run on autopilot but simultaneously have to focus intensely. An underrated gem in my opinion.
Game bought during the Wavey Dash promotion with European Speedrunner Assembly. The screenshots and videos on steam page are a very good representation of what you get: unique sine wave controls, with the player character following the sine wave and not being able to stop. It's exactly what it looks like and I'd compare it to weird games centered around an uncontrollable player movement cycle, like the spinning stick game Kuru Kuru Kururin (GBA) or star riding in Gimmick (NES). There's nothing quite like it, which can be fun, but not recommendable if you're not down for learning highly specialized controls & mechanics totally different from most other videogames. There are a lot of levels, and some interesting variety in them, though the difficulty curve is wavey and the latter half of the game spikes way up. Most likely you'll give up before unlocking, let alone beating all of them - I made it to around level 50 out of 81 so far. I've been told the difficulty is being tweaked in an upcoming patch, but even without it I would recommend the game if the sine wave premise sounds like your thing.
The control scheme is easy to use, but difficult to master. I am a very casual gamer and I had no problems with the controls (unless I was panicking). Even though I had the graphic settings turned down it still looked beautiful. The music is fantastic and I can't wait for the soundtrack to be released! It has leaderboards for time/score and has extra levels to unlock for getting 100% in each level (which I will be going back to previous levels and try to complete). There are multiple routes in most levels that look like they are designed for speedrunners. Speedrunning isn't for me, but I would very much enjoy watching people speedrun Wavey The Rocket! Overall verdict: This is an amazing game!
《Wavey The Rocket》
Was excited to try this out when I first encountered it. Moving along a sine wave was a really fascinating concept to me for a sidescroller. It works well, it takes getting used to and is rather difficult but it's balanced well in that you don't have to get all the collectables in a level to progress in the game. So there's a nice adjustment in each level to account for different levels of players. What was interesting to me was how the sine wave acts as a visual for the player's future actions. It's interesting to me because I was looking more at the wave than the actual character so it asks interesting questions about who we are in the game. A truly one of a kind movement mechanic that I've never seen anywhere else before, this game deserves so much more attention and love.
I sat here for an hour-and-a-half straight, holding back a huge crap, hoping that I would get the 'knack' for this game while watching Wavey crash stupidly over and over. Four directions and a Dash button are all that's required but Wavey travels much too fast down his wave. There needs to be a 'Slow' button. Slowing down requires using the four directions to properly and VERY accurately adjust your path but the game moves far to quick to accommodate that much fiddling. Only thing I could really compare Wavey's game play to would be R-Type at 4x's speed while holding your game pad upside down and rapidly spinning in a swivel chair. You can't blame someone for trying something new but if that something new is a sloppy mess it shouldn't be celebrated with a twenty dollar price tag. BTW - get ready for the 'Carousel' optical illusion when you exit the game; don't stand up too quick. Like what happens when some people bite into a York Peppermint Patty I wound up face flat on the floor with a turd sticking out of my ass.
The best game ever would recommend to a friend 5 stars on trip Tripadvisor, this game is LIFE!
