WAVE RIDER

This is a REALLY fun 3D arcade style casual racing game that handles very well with just a keyboard, although it is optimized for a controller. This is a throwback to games like Cruisin’ USA and Road Blaster except it’s actually set in the future, as far as the story goes. The visuals and music add a lot to the solid gameplay. https://youtu.be/ICWzxrdO2Zs https://youtu.be/ifenS9Xdz7M I only have two problems with the game: there are only four levels (currently) and there is this weird thing in the first two levels where you kind of stick to the walls when you run into them. This is by design and not a bug but it got really irritating until I realized why it was like that. To the developer, you may reduce the stickiness just a tad so that it isn’t debilitating so early in the game. However, after a short time, it didn’t affect me very much. There is replayability in the form of hardcore mode (see my review video) and the maps are of great enough variety that they don’t feel repetitive. I liked the differentiation between the cars- they all felt different and handled their own way.

Immediately this game steps right out of the Tron universe. Few games have been able to bring the color and graphics to life like Wave Rider.

The sense of speed in this game is great. The handling of the vehicles seems weird at first but once you get used to the drifting and the boost recharging mechanics they control really well. Amazing visuals and fitting music all throughout the game. I really love this kind of racer, I also approve of the added hardcore mode that encourages you to go as fast as you can without dying. I am probably going to start speedrunning this game, it really is a gem 10/10 would recommend especially for that price.

Extremely short, but very delightful. Sort of a mix between Distance and Rez. It's a trip. The starting vehicle is very slippery, but the controls once you get the other vehicles are very good, feels good to play, has good mechanics. I hope the developers make another, more traditional racing game in the future.

Short 3D arcade racing game with good mechanics, visuals and music. Optimization for the controller and the varieties of the maps contribute to the pleasure of playing this game.

Stage 3 kicked my ass but I can't be mad because of the top tier soundtrack 10/10

в начале я подумал, что игрушка для расслабления, ведь в начале геймплей довольно медленный, но потом, когда началась гонка на время, что я ненавижу во всех играх, я уже так не думаю так для чего или для кого эта игра? я не знаю. возможно для тех, кто любит вызовы, превозмогать, ну и гонки естественно. наверное для таких людей эта игра стоит не дорого. графика симпатичная. фризов нет. управление легкое но, как по мне, лучше уж добавить денег и купить нормальную гонку, типа Нид фор спид, или Ф1, или Евротрак симулятор, чем это https://youtu.be/TTXp7lnia2w
