Interesting card game mechanics! Simple to understand, and a fair difficulty curve. Plot-wise, hits devastatingly close to home, oh god I am so sorry my panda son. Them being a panda helps soften the heart-aching narrative of a naive young adult trying to make it in their dream career. Only anxiety-cried a little bit! Do your best, Pochi!
Attention: - this review may contain spoilers, if you don´t mind go ahead. - early review Summary: A streamer life simulator in anime style with deck builder element. About: - Game: A streamer life simulator in anime style with deck builder element. - Story/gameplay: play as Pochi, the main character (a Panda, wtf?) that has a dream to make streams his main job; however with a very strict father and supportive mother, achieving his dream won't be easy. As the player, you will build card decks to deal with toxic comments and make his live/ channel a success. - VA: not present. - Artwork: good, i'm still interested to know why the mc is a panda. - Text/translation: no problem so far - Performance/cons: instead of auto save, a manual save should be great Conclusion: "Watch Me Stream My Mental Breakdown" as the name suggests, you will do streams, if the MC mind will break or the channel will be a success depends on you in a deck builder game. Recommended? Personally, the game is confusing, maybe because I rarely play card games.
Fun game, but only get it when its on a good sale like I did. Not worth $20 imo.
Awful gameplay, the story so short, the battle doesn't matter at all since there is almost no progress when you do it your best or just click randomlly, stay away, this is the worst game i play in a long time, and i play many bad game but able to handle it, this one just waste of time and money, refunded
I don't usually play deck-builders but as a streamer I was curious to try out playing a game about a streamer. I had so much fun, it's such a cute & clever game!
This is one of those games where I want to give a "ehhh" kind of response but Steam is super limited with up or down. And if that's the case it's definitely an up.
A deckbuilder game with a novel theme and a twist in mechanics because it has a visual novel built around it, with its own set of problems and goals. It's designed to be replayed, with the goal of earning permanent starting cards after winning the overall game, so it gets a little different every time. The plot is simple, but that's fine because the point of this game is the cards. I thought the little details in the story were charming. "Panda" really captures the essence of a streamer, and it makes dealing with disappointed parents feel more lighthearted when they're pandas. It's a game that's not trying to be serious so you can focus on the cards and I appreciate that. Because you're not "defeating an opponent" like most deckbuilders, figuring out the "win" condition (what earns you subscribers) for the card game (streaming session) is part of the puzzle of the game, which could be frustrating if you need or want explicit instructions on strategy and goals. The card game is built into the story, so you can't play it separately from the visual novel. But, the game has autosaves and it's sometimes possible to go back to the start of the "day" and replay a round of cards. Definitely pick this one up if you want a casual-feeling card game but still want to be challenged.
Original game.
This game has been a surprise gem. The graphic style is lovely, with memorable characters & an interesting play style. Streamers will enjoy sharing this game with their communities, making meta jokes while also highlighting the darker side to streaming leads to some interesting discussions. The game encourages replayability by saving your runs so you can challenge yourself to be a more successful streamer with every playthrough as you gain more understanding of how to play (and accumulate new moves) & experiment with different methods for success. The gameplay probably isn't for everyone, so give the demo a try and see what you think. Thoroughly enjoyed this with my community & will definitely play again!
