Great game. But Multiplayer is just broken. Constant de-syncs and disconnects, which forces the host to shutdown WITHOUT SAVING.
A Great CRPG, the best post-apocalyptic one - improves on basically all aspects from WL2, which was a great game in its own right. Fun combat, lots of choice, different ways to solve the quests and consequences thereafter, rewarding build paths / combinations and secrets to discover, full VO, great OST. Improvements i wished for: - Soundtrack is great, yet there is no way to play tracks during World Exploration (tracks played should end up in the Archive, so we could enjoy them during the Kodiak exploration slog; also, kickstarted the game and didn't get the Deluxe/OST extras come on) - The Kodiak should be at least 50% faster during World Exploration (base speed, no upgrades); - Add Fast track to explored areas, or to exit some area (b.heights to HQ and/or world map, or to/from anywhere in the worldmap).. can/should still be interrupted by random/scripted events... - Improve inventory management (pooled party inv is great, but there should be some "mark for sale/as junk", sort by lvl/dmg/armor/etc, filter proficient with checkbox (to hide items a party member cant use), even a item name search..) - There should have been armor/weapon mod merchants/npcs scattered around the world... i mean everybody ends up setting up 1 ranger as a base upgrader... might as well merge these into 1 skill or a couple of perks. - Attribute/Skill balance is OK (strike charge tied to charisma feels weird and xp gains bonus tied to attributes should just be removed as it messes with balance) - Initiative / Alpha Strike needs a rework... found myself starting combat with the stealth sniper shooting, cleaning floor aka "alpha striking" 80-100% of most fights 1st turn (otherwise the reverse would happen, as half the rangers skipping their 1st turn after the whole enemy team got to act first already feels dumb.) Anyways, will replay later, hopefully we get a worthy successor Wasteland 4 sometime.
The best fallout that isnt fallout
Awesome game! I would recommend to anyone who loves CRPGs and, in particular, post apocalyptic settings similar to Fallout.
In This AI Generated Review we go over how great this game is and now I am wondering why the heck you are still reading this review. Don't waste your time with AI reviews. They're Garbage. I also don't want to write out a long review to say it's good. because the game is good. I've played it for hundreds of hours. Oh I guess should throw an EM dash in here to sell the AI, how do you do that? -- In word it normally converts that over. Oh well. Have a nice day, you won't get back your minute of time reading this message.
It reminds me of BG3 or SOS2, but set in the post apocolyptic future, and with more comedy.
Woof!
The characters are fun. The voice overs are good. Being from Colorado, its fun to see the Colorado theme. But with the janky graphics, bugged quests, random group killing encounters on the map, difficult to figure out what to do or when to do it, etc, I really really don't find it particularly enjoyable. I can't recommend this.
