Maybe I missed it, but I dont see it say that its VR ONLY anywhere. It says supported, but it doesnt mention that its unplayable without a VR headset, which I dont have.
The game as well as the demo provided enough kbd and mouse support to make me think I could play it. However, when I contacted the dev team requesting a list kbd commands, they responded that this is a VR ONLY game "the VR headset is required, as well as VR touch controllers that come with one". The Steam page should be updated to reflect this.
It's....ok at best. I found the Campaign rather frustrating considering the missions seem to be comprised of "It's you VS 8 Fighter planes, good Luck. Also I forgot to mention, they play by completely different physics and damage models than you." It's not awful but it's definitely a frustrating experience. I learned after this review that this is actually a mobile game ported to VR and that makes complete sense. Because that is exactly what it plays like. The VR magic will keep you going for a short period of time but it quickly becomes apperent what the game actually is.
This is a potentially very fun game ruined by one simple and unexplainable design choice: the engine overheating mechanic. If you push your throttle over 25 percent, you will overheat the engine and the penalty for that is that it won’t produce much power until you throttle back and let it cool down. Given that airplane engines are basically designed to run at full power all the time (many engines from this era didn’t even have a throttle), this is unrealistic, frustrating, and dumb. I can enjoy relaxed realism in simulation games; but when it’s not fun, it’s just not fun.
It started out great, but in the end sorely disappointed. The mission balancing is rather abyssmal. First 10 missions are a piece of cake, but after that the difficulty suddenly triples with way more numerous and competent enemy planes and AA. Just an hour ago I started a mission to protect some artillery from bombers, and several enemy AA vehicles were standing just a stone's throw away from our own artillery. Nuts! The mission environments are also randomly generated. This process is clearly rather buggy, as you can see in the aforementioned example and that one time when some boats I had to bomb vanished under a hill. Not well done at all.
Nope, clunky. VR Only.
The game is crap I tried to return but it took 1 hr. to long so they would not refund my 20.00 this game only works if you want too be the German's they are the only plane that double as fighters and bombers with enough fire power to complete the missions. If you want to be the allies British or Americans forget it the plans give you most has 1 machine gun and few flares the small bomber they give you only has 8 bombs compared to the German planes that carry any where from 8-30 most planes carry 30 bombs. the only plane that carries 40 is the British DH 10 but you cannot control the machine guns or aim them you can only get shot down most of the time. The game is one sided if you are the allies you don't stand a snow balls chance it Hell. Don't waste your money I regret buying it.
Good Things - Pretty realistic, maybe 1 or 2 things off Good graphics Random generated night or day, fun addition Pretty good AI (Exept for when it flies the bombers) Many maps Fun gameplay - Things i dont like - Cant find the plane painting (Edit: Found it.) Multiplayer is kinda dead, bots make up for it kinda Gets me motion sick sometimes (Laying down for a few minutes after helps.) You need a chair that is waist level (Helps reduce motion sickness a bit) Devs must have some NASA super VR, my graphics are not that good on a Quest 3 - When you should get it: When its on sale. I got it for 9.99 USD, worth for that - Final Result: 👍 ---
вот поэтому вр и не того, ниша, такие игры это обрыгаловка, хоть и интересная
