An excellent science fiction point & click adventure game with good world building, great voice acting, beautiful graphics and logical puzzles. As you travel through the small galaxy, you really get a feel for space. The story is well told and the characters have unique personalities. The interface is very accessible and the help system gives you hints to point you in the right direction (if needed). The only two drawbacks were some inventory-based puzzles where I would have liked a little more feedback from the game, and some repetition in the puzzle design. The game is not incredibly long, but tells a well-developed story with a satisfying ending. And choices have real consequences. I would love to see a sequel!

Man, I really wanted to like this game. I'm always on the lookout for sci-fi point-and-clicks, so I thought this would be right up my alley. Sadly, it had enough things working against it that I can't recommend. First off, I don't care for the painterly art style. That's on me for not noticing in the screenshots. From a distance they looked more "normal", but in game the odd appearance is more noticeable and off-putting. I also didn't care for the voice actor of MAC, the robot companion, at all. In fact, I muted the voices within about ten minutes of starting the game. After that it was better. The story was somewhat decent, but it also felt surprisingly small. A lot of characters and plotlines just kind of dissolved to nothing. You don't really get to have final conversations or resolutions for most characters, just a quick recap at the end. It made the ending feel extremely abrupt and unsatisfying. The writing was hit and miss. Sometimes I was amused and even chuckled in a few spots, but mostly it felt bland. The biggest negative though was just how tedious so many parts of the game felt. It was a classic "not respecting the player's time" problem. Two major puzzle sections involve tons of backtracking through interminable tunnel systems, equipping inventory items, interacting, and moving things around. And it just gets so repetitive and tiresome. And many of the primary activities in the game, primarily anything having to do with your spaceship, took multiple clicks and screens to accomplish. For example, getting out of the ship via the ramp (necessary when you actually land), required seven clicks. And you have to do that probably a dozen or more times. On the bright side, there were some quality of life enhancements that I did appreciate once I got used to them. Hovering over hotspots to get instant descriptions instead of having to click felt good, and I thought the hint system was extremely well implemented. It worked in multiple layers, where you could hover over your character to have him ruminate on the next goal, or you could go into the full hint system to get progressively more explicit clues about what you needed to do. There were a few times it was a bit annoying because I knew what I needed to do, but the actual combination of clicks to achieve the goal were unintuitive. On that note, the puzzles were a mixed bag. A few were fairly clever, but others felt like busy work and not very interesting to go through all the steps to solve. I dunno. This game did have some nice points, but overall it just didn't work for me. I do hope the developer learns from this attempt and tries again with some improvements. There's the seed of good stuff here.

Not terrible but.... I found this to be subpar on almost all levels (Pacing, puzzles, mechanics, graphics etc..) Enough so to most likely not continue and uninstall. Get it from a sale if you must.

Un point&click SF tout à fait sympathique. Dans un futur où les retombées d'un conflit global ont forcé les survivants à vivre en orbite de leur planète, un flic tombe sur les traces d'un secret qui pourrait prouver que cette guerre n'est pas aussi terminée qu'on le pensait. On le suit sur la piste de cette affaire, tout en essayant de maintenir les relations familiales tendues avec son entourage. L'histoire est intéressante et aborde des thématiques liées à l'intelligence artificielle ou aux crimes de guerre, sans toutefois rentrer en profondeur dans le sujet. Le ton reste relativement sérieux ; ça manque un peu d'humour ou de personnages plus hauts en couleur, même s'il y a une dynamique buddy movie assez efficace entre le flic Vincent Cassini et son partenaire robotique MAC. Les puzzles sont créatifs et variés ; de la combinaison d'objets, la manipulation de l'interface du vaisseau qu'on pilote, un peu de déduction... Le jeu renouvelle bien ses idées au fil de l'aventure. Dommage que la conclusion soit aussi abrupte, j'aurais apprécié quelques conversations supplémentaires avec les personnages centraux pour fournir un épilogue plus complet.

If you're looking for an old-school point and click, so to speak, Warp Frontier is for you. It will instantly infuse you with the atmosphere of 90's adventure games. I was looking forward to playing the demo. It is a game that should be in your library with its very nice scenario and sci-fi style! I can count the hint system as a minus. Inevitably, when you are in a difficult situation, your hand may go away and this may cause you to cool off slightly from the game and get used to it. I recommend that you do not press it even once. Tabiri caiz ise old school bir point and click arıyorsanız, Warp Frontier tam size göre. 90'ların adventure oyunlarının havasını hemen size aşılayacaktır. Demosunu oynadıktan sonra sabırsızlıkla beklemiştim. Oldukça güzel olan senaryosu ve sci-fi tarzıyla mutlaka kütüphanenizde yer alması gereken bir oyun! Eksi olarak hint sistemini sayabilirim. İster istemez zorda kalınca eliniz gidebiliyor ve bu oyundan hafiften soğumanıza ve hazıra alışmanıza yol açabiliyor. Bir kere bile basmamanızı tavsiye ediyorum.
