great game
This is genuinely one of the best strategy games I've played. Haven't played much Army General, so can't really speak to the single player experience. This game has a depth that very few other games in the genre possess. Each and every unit has unique traits, roles, and gameplay. Are there a lot of repeat units in divisions? Yes there are, welcome to the standardization of modern warfare. This game has a steep learning curve, especially if you are unfamiliar with real time strategy, but even if you are. If you're a Eugen game veteran like myself, you'll feel right at home in WARNO. Select a division, build a deck, play a match or two, tweak your deck, rinse, repeat. There's plenty of content to get stuck into, and more on the horizon. This game's community isn't exactly welcoming, especially if you're brand new. Play some skirmish vs AI, and learn the game a little bit before jumping straight into multiplayer. Quite tired of the "review bombing" trend, it stinks of a vocal minority crying about dev decisions they disagree with. Is every update perfect? No, not by any stretch, but the devs do listen to player feedback and course correct as quickly as they can - more than you can say for MANY studios. As far as the artillery rework, people crying about that don't seem to realize they're self-identifying as some of the most obnoxious, ineffective players in the community. "I can't spam 155mm shells and then immediately zoom off in my self propelled artillery! reeeeeeeeeeee!". While there could be more nuance to the "set up/pack up" mechanic (artillery units have a short set up period upon reaching their destination before they can fire, and then have to pack up before they can begin moving again), it came out right around a month ago - give them some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ time to flesh it out? TLDR; This game is a gem in the RTS genre. If you think you're going to enjoy it, maybe get it full price, maybe get it on sale - I'm not here to tell you how to spend your money. What I am here to tell you, however, is that if you may or may not be autistic, this may or may not be the game for you (it definitely is the entire player base is autistic). See you in the Fulda Gap.
geiles game
Hopelessly looking at your elite tanks (75% accuracy) missing all their shots and getting obliteraded by heartbroken, untrained milicians (30% accuracy) is a pain 50x superior to losing a ranked game... 10/10 game anyway! Would recommend!
Yes.
