Darktide could never. 666.6시간 찍고 남기는 후기. 처음엔 그냥 적당히 재밌는 핵앤슬래시인 줄 알았다. 근데 하다 보니까 사람들이 왜 몇백 시간씩 붙잡고 하는 게임인지 자연스럽게 이해가 되더라. 근접 전투 하나만큼은 아직도 이 장르 최고라고 생각한다. 무기마다 손맛도 다르고, 한 대 한 대 때릴 때 타격감이 정말 좋다. 특히 고난이도에서 팀원들이랑 호흡 맞춰서 겨우 클리어했을 때 그 쾌감은 아직도 못 잊는다. 물론 아쉬운 점도 있다. 업데이트도 그렇고 신규 콘텐츠도 기대했던 만큼은 아니었다. 게임 자체는 정말 잘 만들어졌는데 운영 때문에 더 크게 못 간 느낌이라 그게 제일 아쉽다. 그래도 666시간 넘게 했다는 게 결국 이 게임을 얼마나 재밌게 했는지 말해주는 것 같다. 완벽한 게임은 아니지만, 이 정도로 오래 붙잡고 한 게임도 흔치 않다. 친구들이랑 하면 지금도 시간 가는 줄 모르고 한다. 자, 이제 쥐새끼들 잡으러 가자.
While it may appear inscrutable to the uninitiated, under the surface is a very deep and satisfying gameplay experience I recommend to anyone seeking something fast paced, low stakes, with a high skill ceiling.
