For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
When I bought this game, I thought I'd mess around for 10 hours and uninstall it... Oh, how wrong I was. After running into a couple of sketchy folks who showed me the true meaning of nightmare and Cataclysm, the game took on an entirely new life—and I ended up staying forever. By some twisted stroke of fate, the paths of five not-so-pleasant individuals crossed. Viktor Saltzpyre, a zealot so deranged he'd gladly throw you on the pyre for sneezing in the wrong direction of Sigmar, hired Markus Kruber—a battle-worn mercenary who's seen more decapitated limbs than most doctors. Together, they were tasked with finding Sienna Fuegonasus, a fire mage who had already torched a few villages and was just getting into the groove of her pyromania. One look at her face tells you everything about her mental state—and her alcohol habits. Having nabbed the witch, they began escorting her to Ubersreik, a city overshadowed by a twin-tailed comet and a fate already sealed. But fate had worse in store: the city was overrun by rats—Skaven—who had been festering in the dark for years. Cue Bardin Goreksson, a loudmouthed dwarf hot on the trail of these vermin, whose banter hides secrets and a body count too high for someone his height. From the shadows watched Kerillian, a long-lived wood elf with a young, mischievous voice. Her mystical senses warned her of the oncoming swarm. Despite being an unapologetic racist who’s likely left a trail of human bodies in her forest, she chose to join the group—because, frankly, none of them had anything left. All they had was each other, a city drowning in rat stink, and a desire to survive the End Times, no matter how much they despised each other. Gameplay-wise, Vermintide is one of the finest spiritual successors to Left 4 Dead 2, with a major focus on melee combat. On higher difficulties, it feels like actual dueling—with dodges, blocks, counterattacks, and wild pirouettes—until you whip out a flamestaff to roast a horde or a rapid-fire repeater gun to mow down elites. On Nightmare and Cataclysm, the game truly shines, forcing players into tight coordination and teamwork. It’s hilarious and rewarding to hear the characters' voice lines as they mock each other's failures or get scorched by friendly fire. The dark fantasy medieval atmosphere is 10/10: eerie streets bathed in moonlight, gothic architecture, and character banter that makes them feel alive—questionably so, but alive. After 555.5 hours, I realized... This is a world I want to stay in. Huge thanks to Fatshark for crafting a game that gave me so many emotions, intense memories, and, most importantly, a bunch of new friends.
"I already play Vermintide 2. Should I bother with Vermintide 1?" There are a few reasons why you might want to. What you get here is more or less what you might expect: a lighter, stripped down version of Vermintide 2. Many of the core mechanics are the same, but less refined. Quieter sounds for special enemies. No colors for easy potion ID. Awkward AI. No healthbars for Rat ogres. No hero classes or special powers. No stagger or temporary health. This has some benefits too, many of the most annoying foes are also absent, like Chaos Storm Sorcerers. Everyone moves and swings a little slower, and foes are harder to kill on average. But veteran II players will see this for what it is: a great way to train. Playing through this campaign has sharpened a lot of my Vermintide fundamentals, I find myself better able to deal with armored targets or chokepoint control with fewer mistakes than before. The levels are really well made, and I'd recommend it for that alone. I wish we got more than just Horn, Machines, and Garden ported to 2. The grey wizard's tower is quite an experience. If your playing vermintide 2 in 2025, and you want another way to get better, give Vermintide 1 a go.
:empirecross::skaven::skaven:
Idk why, i don't have this game anymore, it's sad.
Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is a cooperative first-person action game that throws players into the crumbling world of Warhammer Fantasy during its final, catastrophic days. Set in the besieged city of Ubersreik, the game pits a party of four heroes against endless hordes of Skaven—an insidious race of rat-men that swarm from the shadows in overwhelming numbers. From the opening moments, the game makes it clear that survival isn't guaranteed. Its tone is relentlessly grim, leaning heavily into Warhammer's trademark gothic atmosphere, with collapsing buildings, blood-soaked altars, and flickering torchlight painting a picture of a world on the brink of annihilation. This aesthetic commitment to despair and doom gives Vermintide a uniquely immersive flavor that few other co-op games manage to replicate. Gameplay-wise, Vermintide wears its Left 4 Dead inspirations proudly. Missions are linear, built around moving from point A to point B while defending against dynamic waves of enemies. However, what elevates Vermintide beyond imitation is its deep focus on melee combat and distinct character classes. The five playable heroes—the Witch Hunter, Waywatcher, Dwarf Ranger, Empire Soldier, and Bright Wizard—all feel wildly different in combat. Where one relies on close-quarters brute force, another snipes from a distance or wields unstable magical fire. Each hero has access to a selection of weapons that further customize their playstyle, and their unique voice lines and banter flesh out their personalities, giving the sense that you're not just playing blank archetypes, but actual characters caught in the same desperate struggle. Combat in Vermintide is weighty, bloody, and brutally satisfying. Swinging a sword into a Skaven’s skull carries real heft, and Fatshark clearly designed the melee system to be more than just button-mashing. Timing, positioning, and crowd control matter. Shields can block, two-handed weapons sweep through crowds, and dodging at the right moment can mean the difference between life and death. Ranged weapons exist, but ammo is scarce, and players are often forced to rely on melee to survive. The variety of enemy types—standard fodder, elite “specials” like gas-throwers and assassins, and the towering Rat Ogres—means you're constantly adapting your strategy mid-battle. Even after dozens of missions, fights still feel tense and dynamic thanks to the “AI director” that adjusts enemy spawns and intensity based on player behavior. The cooperative aspect is where Vermintide truly shines. Missions are balanced around teamwork, and players must constantly support each other to make it to the end. Healing is limited, revives take time, and high-tier loot is hidden behind optional objectives like carrying cursed Grimoires or hidden Tomes. These collectibles boost the quality of loot at the end of a mission, but they come at a price: Grimoires reduce your team's max health, and Tomes occupy valuable healing item slots. This system introduces real decision-making and trade-offs—do you risk weakening your team to earn a better sword, or play it safe for a higher chance of survival? It’s a clever mechanic that encourages replayability, strategic planning, and strong communication among players. The game’s progression system is centered around loot, obtained through a dice-based roll at the end of each mission. Depending on the difficulty level and how many optional objectives you completed, you’ll get more dice and a better chance at earning rare gear. Unfortunately, this system can feel frustrating at times. Even after a tough victory, you may end up with a weapon you don’t need, or something for a character you aren’t currently playing. Crafting and item fusion options offer some mitigation, but grinding for specific gear can get repetitive. Still, when the system works and you finally roll that one elusive orange-tier weapon, it feels incredibly rewarding. Level design is another standout feature. Each mission in Vermintide takes place in a different area of Ubersreik or its outskirts, and the environments are impressively varied. You’ll fight through ruined marketplaces, haunted graveyards, torch-lit caverns, and towering wizard towers. Many of these areas are stunning in their dark fantasy detail, and they often tell subtle environmental stories about the fall of the city. Despite the linear nature of most maps, there are enough small deviations, hidden loot spots, and environmental hazards to keep things fresh. Enemy spawns and item placements are randomized enough that no two runs feel identical, especially on higher difficulties. One of the major downsides to the experience, however, is the AI when playing with bots instead of other players. While serviceable on lower difficulties, AI companions are prone to poor decision-making in more intense scenarios. They’ll fail to revive you in time, ignore enemies that are clearly threats, and sometimes get stuck navigating terrain. Vermintide is clearly designed to be played with a full team of human players, and while solo is technically possible, it feels like a diminished version of what the game is meant to be. The same could be said of the networking infrastructure—if you're not the host, occasional lag or disconnects can lead to frustrating failures through no fault of your own. Technically, the game holds up reasonably well for its time. The graphics are gritty and detailed, and performance is generally stable on modern machines. That said, occasional bugs do crop up. Glitches like ragdoll physics going wild, enemies spawning in strange places, or objectives not triggering are rare but noticeable. These hiccups are minor in the grand scheme of things, but in a game where every second of delay or confusion can lead to a team wipe, they can feel more punishing than they would in a slower-paced game. Despite these flaws, Vermintide succeeds in what it sets out to do. It's a focused, intense, and atmospheric co-op experience that captures the essence of desperate survival in a crumbling world. The melee combat is some of the best in the genre, the teamwork is genuinely rewarding, and the Warhammer setting is used to full effect. While later games like Vermintide 2 would expand and refine the formula, the original still holds up as a raw, gritty adventure full of memorable moments and blood-soaked victories. It’s not perfect, and it demands a coordinated group to really shine, but for those who enjoy dark fantasy and cooperative gameplay, it’s a battle worth fighting. Rating: 8/10
