Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus

If there's any game that I think of when I think of when I think "the developers loved their job", this is it. It pour passion from every line of dialogue, the writing, the design and mechanics. It's beautiful and grim, everything I could have ever wanted. It's a bit repetitive at times and a bit too easy sometimes? And maybe the mechanicus end up winning just a bit too much for a grim dark world? But the level of love that wen't into the game is undeniable. If you ever wanted a game to get you invested into the Mechanicus, this is it. In a sea of warhammer titles, who some barely even tried at times, this game is among the best ever made.

For XCOM fans, a very well made game. Positive + Great turn-based strategy game with interesting mechanics and combinations + Visually looks good and runs smooth Negative - The difficulty curve is a bit off. At the start of the game it's very hard, but at the end it becomes too easy. Many fights are won within 1-2 turns. The last boss on normal was defeated within 2 turns for example.

Cool mechanics, interesting tactical variabilyties but the game always finds a way how to block your progression with too much new opponent every round and the mission can change during the battle. You're planning your steps to hold 3 turms, then, suddenly, the game changes it to "kill all enemies". But yoy've already planned your steps and resourses to hold one more step, so enemies kills you not because the're smarter or better planing, but because the conditions were different.

Found this game for like £2 summit and it's also my first time playing a turn-based game got to say I enjoyed it more than I thought I would tbh and I only got this game thanks to playing space marines 2. I do recommend this game it's really good the story is interesting and the mission's are fun, The mechs and general game play is smooth, the class specs are really good crafting your own glass cannon build while still being tanky is dirty I love it, The troops are good as well but in the end I only used the one troop x5 as it was overpowered. I did take some screen shots of my characters builds.
