Warhamer 40K gladius es como si los las 4X de los juegos 4x significaran exterminar y es perfecto así, nada de treguas nada de paz solo el miedo constante a toparte con una facción superiro y la drenalina de borrardel mapa a las facciones por debajo tuyo
TL;DR 4x meets waargh! Wot I liked - Many factions: factions vary drastically; - Different types of units provide various tactical features; - The dark fantasy of this world with so many issues and solutions consisting of violence; - All the units have so many upgrades furthering their tactical battlefield applications; - The whole micromanagement thing; - A plenty of tactical options; - Love the soundtrack: so haunting, dark and longing. Wot I disliked - Too few hotkeys - feels like a smartphone game; - Unit management is cumbersome, again no way to manage units promptly; - The game is still rough around the edges so many years after the release: there are many small things that do not affect the overall satisfaction, but they are there; - You make mistakes due to the GUI limitations: firing range is not obvious, LoS is not obvious, damage calculation - don't make me started, movement points - not obvious; - Difficult to find enemies on the map due to limited GUI and controls functionality; - The game is too expensive: the base (sometimes free) game has 3-4 factions and about 50% units/buildings. Everything else is behind the paywall; - For a neophite, it is difficult to calculate how much damage your squad will do: there are so many variables and little explanations; - Minimap is useless as the information is not presented clearly even n the tiniest of maps; - Camera fails following enemies sometimes; - Not enough information is on the screen. To sum it all up, even though it's a flawed game Gladius is a lot of fun. Enjoy the 4x no diplomacy grimdark fantasy!
Good fun
First foray into anything 40k so maybe I am naïve but its very slow. I just stop playing, nothing to hold your attention.
sympa
Perfect for anyone who likes being a dictator or killing off a bunch of guardsmen.
