Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III

It takes .2 seconds to see how little effort Sega put into making this game. I just love the old dawn of war and thought it would be like it. But dawn of war 3 is a wet turd that sega just wants you to eat. I really hope the people that rushed this game lost their job.

I don't understand the hate! I'm no RTS guru by any means, but I'm having great fun playing 1v1 with Mods. Waaaaaaaaaaggggghhhhhhhh

Game is broken, Mission 11 is basically impossible to progress past without the game crashing every minute

I just don't understand this: Each time when I accomplished a mission in the plotline and there would be a avatar or icon as a reward. But this reward would only show up the very NEXT time when I start the game. And the reward windows can not be closed. I clicked OK and the window stayed there, leaving the only option for me is to ALT+F4 the entire game application. It discouraged me a lot from running the game again.

bought it mainly for the campaign! and what a ♥♥♥♥ show it is! resources generate slow AF, the AI is actually not that smart, and to top it all of, it constantly keeps crashing! if i so much as point my camera towards a direction it will crash! so to avoid this i knew that in certain areas of the map i'd just have to avoid looking at it entirely and just point my units on the mini map there if need be! which is utterly insane for a game that old!

Очень сложно дать оценку игре. С одной стороны, вроде бы и купил по большой скидке, но факт того, что игре почти 10 лет, а баги не исправили до сих пор, когда не можешь закрыть всплывающее окно и нужно перезапускать игру или просто не отображается сделанное ранее сохранение, это немного удручает. По существу геймплея все также очень странно. Вот вроде бы в каждой классической ртс есть период сбора ресурсов, но даже так это обычно какое то действие, собрать древесину, что то построить и т.д., а тут просто стоишь и ждешь минут 5-10 пока накопиться ресурс для улучшения. Без улучшения в тир-3 пехота не жизнеспособна вообще, а это значит каждое задание обязан стоять и ничего не делать. В попытке выстроить сценарий на задание, как то обычно получается также странно. В игре 17 сюжетных заданий и проходя каждое из них это качели от позиции ну может и не плохо, до ну сколько можно и когда это все закончится. К сожалению финал также подкачал, отличная идея сделать бой только героями, но вот реализация. Вместо 5-10 минут ожидания накопления ресурса, в самом конце по пять минут бега, что бы дожидаться возрождения героя. Вывод такой, по очень большой скидке для фанатов W40K можно, но всем остальным приближаться не стоит.

its alright. It keeps crashing before i can finnish a match. i really only got it becuase it was on sale for 8 bucks and i wanted to check out a dawn of war game sense dawn of war 4 is coming out in a few months.

画面确实不错，相较于2有了更大的进步。但是没有1好玩。派系就3个，派系数量相较于1大幅度减少。而且没有1那种小地图战术大地图战略攻防的味道了。更多是战术对抗。打起来的时候很考验操作，有梦回魔兽争霸的感觉。地图的自由度不高，看似地图很大有资源点可以造兵但是小路弯弯没有太多的选择还总是绕路。战役改变了之前每个派系各有各的理想路线，合并成了一条线。即战役只有一个结局。总体还是有些失望。希望今年的4能重拾1的战略要素。

It already crashed more than a few times... What I can say is there are games from the 2000s (like warcraft and age of empires) that are way more complex, fun and better overall than this game which is wild to me... For a Warhammer game, I thought this would be faster, since the wars seem to be over in minutes. However, you don’t really feel that during gameplay. From what I’ve seen, the animations of most of the characters are weird, the design is kinda poor, the maps are simple and plain, the soundtrack lacks quality, and the camera zoom really kills me. I’m not a fan of the resource system, but I do feel this review is already very harsh lol. I did expect that different colors of, for example, Space Marines would bring different types of bonuses, even though that would be way too complex to add. I'll continue to play this game out of curiosity, but I still think this is not a good Warhammer 40k game. GLHF!

Huh, I didn't think it could be worse than 2, I was wrong. The Ai don't even fight they sort of just spread around the map and stand around. The harder ai is good but more in an annoying cheesey way, all they do is rush your points and hope for he best while sending their leader on a camping trip. It's like a protoss player who only canon rushes in Starcraft 2.
