An absolute banger of a tactics game. The Grey Knights feel powerful without ever making the missions easy, and every encounter turns into a satisfying puzzle of positioning, combos, and glorious executions. The Bloom system keeps the campaign tense, the visuals are pure grimdark perfection, and the soundtrack slaps harder than a Nemesis Force Hammer. If you like turn‑based strategy or Warhammer 40k, this one is a must‑play. Purge the heretic, cleanse the Bloom, and enjoy every minute of it.
Todo muy logrado el mundo de warhammner 40.000 la dificultad la historia la verdad me encanta.
fun turn based game in the 40k setting. very xcom if you like that type of gear/skill allocation.
xcom in grim dark universe with some new mechanics and a lot of atmosphere VERY recommended to any fan, either xcom or this universe only one flaw for me is very annoying strong independent woman-inquisitor, but she annoys player not very often
I enjoyed this game. It's a turn based strategy reminiscent of Xcom that spends the campaign teaching you how to build a high level of momentum with your characters and then leaves you to use that knowledge to give them a silly number of actions every turn. You spend the whole game learning this gameplay loop and coming to rely on it. Then, in the finale, the devs go "you can't do that any more". Something about that just killed the game for me. I completed it, but rather than feeling satisfied, I felt frustrated, and that's been my lasting memory.
Overall, I think it is a good tactics game with some quality of life/design features that hold it back and make it a slog at times. (I have only played the base game with no dlc) It is well made with interesting abilities, classes, terrain interactions, IP (if you like warhammer), varied enemies, and good voice acting. While it has a potentially controversial art style, I liked it and found it both memorable and readable. I also thought the story was interesting. I felt compelled to do just one more mission. However, there were a few things that hold it back for me so much so that I am not sure I will finish the game. First of all, very few things are adequately explained when you first start a game. The auto-save system is very unhelpful (there is only one auto save and it is only for the last thing). The menus (especially character abilities) were thematic but unclear (you eventually get used to them). Line of sight can also be very counter intuitive. The warp instability is a cool concept but unbalanced. It feels oppressive especially when it spawns in top tier enemies behind you. While there is no randomness in shooting, the randomness of the warp can cause some missions to either be a slight speed bump or almost impossible. I found this game good but flawed and am excited to see what they cook up in the sequel.
good way to spend hours
