This is a very fun game. The story is well-told, battles are fun and challenging, though it's easy to get an overpowered squad that will roll through combat missions - until they get picked for an off-ship mission and you're back to underleveled scrubs Whoops! The Death Guard are a fun, well fleshed out enemy faction, though I can't help but wish there had been another Cult Legion added in as an additional complication. As it is, there's no real twists to the story, though maybe that makes sense given Nurgle. The game would benefit from some sort of in-game glossary or something to help those of us who aren't long-time GK fans to know the difference between a Psylencer and a Psycannon. The ship management also seemed a little undercooked - maybe ten percent more depth to it would have been appreciated. Also, as great looking as the environments are, they get a little samey after a while - imagine a ruined Imperial city, ruined Imperial cathedral, ruined Imperial factory, and then versions of the same overgrown with Nurglish plantlife and you've seen 99% of the game's tilesets. Let me board a DG cruiser for some Space Hulk action, plow through an overrun T'au sept world, or fight in a snowy wasteland or scorching desert. Still, I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a highly polished and well-done 40k spin on X-COMesque action, and I can't wait to see what they do with the Deathwatch-focused sequel.
Its a simple 40k turn based strategy game kind of like mechanicus if you like either grey knights or nurgle/death guard then you'll probably love this game the only problem with this game is how long it is and how difficult it can be it also runs horribly for some reason expect your pc to turn into a oven if you play for longer than five minutes
Perfecto. Favorite take turn strategy game, cuts out all the nonsense. Condensed. Fight, slight strategy outside of combat, back into the frey. Expand and add more customizability in characters/classes/skill trees, and items. More like D3. And maybe bigger squads.
I like daemonhams, or is it gatehams?
Fun game. The UI is "a bit cluttered," but once you've got the hang of it, it plays quite well. I recommend you google stuff you don't know about for maximum success and enjoyment.
