I loved it on IOS now even better on Steam. If you like fun strategic game play similar to advanced wars you will enjoy this.
Great turned based strategy game. Single player campaign is a lot of fun with the right amount of difficulty.
Great new implementation of one of my fave iOS games of all time!
Fun strategy game that works on steam deck
比较精致的,没有英雄单位的,可惜没海军的,可惜没中文的 战棋。 感觉地形和兵种有点少。 断网玩的,实际应该打了20小时左右了。 Need Chinese,pleases.
I'd give Warbits+ a modest recommendation, something like a 3/5. It's a decent enough turn based strategy game that is heavily "influenced" by Advance Wars (much like Field Commander) and so my default recommendation would be to go play those games instead. If you already have, then Warbits+ is mostly more of the same with a few minor issues and a little bit of rebalancing. Most of the changes are honestly worse in my opinion, but I'll list all the ones I noticed; Most unit prices have been adjusted downwards There are no naval units... at all The campaign is slightly shorter (20 missions in total, took me just under 10 hours) Instead of each CO having a theme they all just share a playlist CO powers are not unique to each CO, instead you can choose from a range of powers on any turn by accessing your HQ building Unfortunately this means that you can't use CO powers if a unit (yours or an enemy's) is on top of the HQ [GOOD IDEA] You can "undo" up to 3 turns in a row, except in Fog of War missions If you undo multiple turns in a row it sometimes causes the in-game OST to stop playing music There are now multiple kinds of cities, most of which can't repair units (yay?) Infantry only heal 1 health per turn on a friendly city for some reason [GOOD IDEA] Tread units are now called mech units and mech units are now heavy infantry. Jets and rockets are worse but are both cheaper [GOOD IDEA] Two new units: A sniper unit, that functions kind of like artillery and an air transport that can carry two units The game does support both controller and keyboard & mouse. Unfortunately the UI is generally a bit sloppy, especially when using the controller. If you open the in-game stats then closing it on a controller is a hassle, to unselect a unit you need to select the square it's currently on etc. I would say that in spite of some minor complaints and glitches, the game itself is still a decent single-player TBS experience. Considering the low price and that it's by a small studio, I would recommend Warbits+ to anyone looking for an AW clone. PS: For the developers (if they read this): This game is decent but could be a lot better with some play-testing of the UI and adding a bit more skirmish content. The campaign writing is pretty basic and while it's not something that is NEEDed, it does make the campaign feel a bit monotonous as we are always the same CO with the same soundtrack. More CO variety + tighter UI design would make this an easy recommendation for most people. Hope to see a Warbits 2 :-)
