Great game overall, fun base game. the mods for this game however- I feel are the real seller, as they pretty much turn the game from semi repetitive to new, usually challenging experience that ends up looking and feeling spectacular. also you get to TORPEDO THE YAMATO, TORPEDO THE YAMATO AGAIN, AND FINALLY SINK THE YAMATO (hope you all get that reference).
Ever screamed at a destroyer to “focus the damn cruiser!” while dodging torpedoes and managing aircraft strikes? No? You will. War on the Sea is what happens when you mix realism, strategy, and just enough chaos to make you question your life choices—in the best way possible. It's got a learning curve, sure, but once you climb it, you're basically the captain of your own war movie. ✔️ Command WW2 naval fleets like a boss ✔️ Manually target enemies like a control freak (it’s glorious) ✔️ Graphics so good you’ll forgive the lack of ship damage models ❌ No detailed visual damage, but hey—just pretend the fire is everywhere If you love strategy, big guns, and shouting nautical orders at midnight, this game is for you.

i dont know what i expected from a naval warfare sim, its just pressing a button every 30 seconds or so kinda boring it is good if you want that sort of thing but i got too much ADHD and not enough autism to enjoy it
It's a good strategy WW2 naval game. The game itself is fun, but the lack of updates make it less enjoyable.
dead game
So many clunky mechanics that don't even function like they did in real life alongside AI that fails to follow even the simplest instructions. If a game prides itself on being realistic, you'd at least expect systems to function like they do in the real world, here it just seems to be determined by RNG
I enjoy the game but I have found that the Mac version is greatly dumbed down from the PC version, yet we pay the same price! So it's a mixed review. It's still worth the price for the Mac but just barely and only because the base game for the PC is phenomenal and you still get most of the important features so you can at least play. My feeling is that in charging the same price they are being dishonest about the game being the same as the PC version, I guess because they figure we Mac users will never find out. All of which simply doesn't sit well with me. A small discount for the barebones Mac version would be fair and more transparent imo.
Unfortunately the game is abandoned, buggy and incomplete. Buy Sea Power and mess around with Cold War stuff while waiting for WWII content/mods.
doesn't get updated and the combat in some areas is abysmal, not worth the $40 price tag buy it on sale
