Prices

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This game is Dungeon Keeper 3 in nearly every way. If you can get this game on sale of any kind, it is 100% worth it, since even for the current price, this game is phenomenal. As a standard RTS game, this game is great for story and skirmish battles, and is genuinely enjoyable to play multiple times. Richard Riding's voice makes building things and sending minions to battle feel enjoyable, and I found myself smiling while he elaborated on what I needed to do each mission. That said, the game is Dungeon Keeper 3 in all the worst ways, too. Being a simple RTS game, it can definitely feel repetitive after a while, and if you aren't a fan of micro management, it can be tough to get the hang of. If this doesn't deter you at all, just buy it. This game is more than worth it.
Listen, hear me out- it was an excellent call to get Richard Ridings to do his Daddy Pig thing. Big fan. Apart from that, I just can't get into it. The creatures are boring to me. The graphics are so cold and drab I fall asleep. The soundtrack does not make me wanna get up and do a !JACKPOT WINNER! dance (i can't even hum a few bars of it in my head). It's severely lacking in charm, it's tinny-sounding, and somebody mistook squinty darkness for atmosphere. Go back and LOOK at Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2 - they do not take place in an annoying pitch black void that promotes eyestrain. They had rich warm reddish/goldy colour palettes. Very easy on the eyes. Even the blues looked warm. Also- those games ran well. I'm giving this a thumbs down. If that upsets anybody, idk.. sorry? (if it makes ya feel better, the rating i'd give EA is a slap from the hand of evil)

"Your blade lotus is under attack" Honestly I had to stop playing, I couldn't hear the guy say it for the thousandth time. The voice gets nagging and repetitive after a while. Nicely made game otherwise
Cheap, pitiful knock off of Dungeons 2.

Absolutely amazing how this game can still capture you after 10 years being on the market. I loved Dungeon Keeper and have seen many attempts to succeed that classic.. With mediocre results. War for the Overworld has finally done it. Now it would be high time to create a sequal that can compete in complexity. Lets see if they get it done.
It is a true spiritual successor to "Dungeon Keeper" in a more modern form. The core mechanics are almost the same: you dig out your dungeon, build rooms, attract creatures, manage gold, food and defenses, place traps, and fight off invading heroes. At the same time, the game is not just a simple copy. It has a progression system based on "sins", where you choose which aspects to unlock: rooms, spells, defenses, rituals, potions, or upgrades. Because of this, dungeon development feels more like choosing a build, rather than simply unlocking new options one by one. There are also rituals: powerful effects prepared by cultists in the Sanctuary and used later when needed. Alchemy is another addition: potions are created in the Alchemy Lab and provide extra tactical tools. Constructs are also worth mentioning - utility structures that give you more ways to influence the map, your economy, and territorial control. As a result, "War for the Overworld" keeps the basic gameplay loop of "Dungeon Keeper", but makes it a bit more flexible and modern: there is more choice in progression, more magical tools, and more ways to fortify your dungeon and affect the map. My only serious complaint is the creature design. Just compare Bile Demon with Chunder, or Dark Mistress with Succubus. The comparison is clearly not in War for the Overworld's favor. And there is no equivalent of the Horned Reaper at all, which feels like a very noticeable loss.
Go get Dungeon Keeper. It is much better and every level is not designed with cheesy rush tactics in mind.
Absolutely fantastic game. If you're a fan of the Dungeon Keeper series, this is a must buy! If you don't know the Dungeon Keeper series... This is a must buy!
Fazit: Liebevolle Hommage, gutes Gameplay, viel Atmosphäre. 👉 Empfehlenswert – besonders für Dungeon-Keeper-Fans.
